We had the good fortune of connecting with Jorge Diaz Soto and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jorge, why did you pursue a creative career?
As a creative person, I always wanted to find a way to exploit my abilities, besides making arts and crafts for my friends and family. during the first months of 2020, me as many others felt depressed because of what was going on in the world, i had a full time job, that i really liked, but it was turning toxic and i didn’t feel like it was my calling anymore, then tiktok blew up and everyone was sharing their talents there, and i decided to buy my very own Cricut machine, and let me tell you, i could be making stuff for hours upon hours and feel happy about it, then after doing some research i realized that there was a market and audience for what i was making. That felt like a dream come true, i went for it and its been so amazing that i get to create cool stuff for other people to show how cool and unique their personality is.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Me and LemonDesign25 are set apart from other business, because we evolve with the trends, and we have new items very often, that way my clients can get their hands on new things every season.
One of the things that I’m most proud of is the fact that i was able to work with a couple non profit organizations in the past and help them raise money to keep helping other people in need.
The way i got to where I’m at today is by not giving up, not everything is easy, not everything goes right the first try, and if i had given up the first time I did something wrong, I wouldn’t be where I’m standing today.
I’ve learned so much along the way, but one of the most important things is that not everyone will like all of my products, and that is ok, I’m building a brand that will and is offering new items every couple weeks, and is very focused in bringing items that will bring a bit of attention to a lot of minority groups.
Id love to show with the world that as an immigrant, dreams come true, it wont be easy, you need to work extra hours, make more than the rest, and try to catch the spotlight harder than others but you can be a successful business and individual if you don’t give up
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Olivia Williams
who inspired me to not just be a crafter, but a maker, a creator, a leader.
Az.Rad.2020 has been one of my biggest supporters since day one.
without her help and guidance along the will to try new ideas I wouldn’t be here
as well as the support of my partner Derek, who never doubted that we could grow my hobby into a successful business.
