We had the good fortune of connecting with Jorge “Scoobs’ Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jorge “Scoobs’, how does your business help the community?
Health and wellness programs Charitable out reach and initiatives
Educating and training
Employment opportunities
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It started with Scott and I having a passion for working out and challenges, and wouldn’t be fun to own a gym in the community?!,,,, and making a little money on the side, to then becoming 60k sqft and one of the largest sports facilities in Miami with a wide range of amenities and partnerships to offer for the whole family. Examples ; Personal training. small group classes, Physical therapy, massage therapy, to basketball and volley course ,kickboxing, capoeira, yoga, after school and summer programs…and yes, even a hair salon. From the start we wanted to have an impact in our community and with that we created the ADAPT foundation , Its a non profit to aid under resource families, and encourage kids through health and wellness.
Like every business it’s never easy to start and it’s an on-going evolution full of daily and yearly dynamics.
But we’re grateful and humbled to what we are today, but as always the jobs not done and we have work to do.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
