Hi Joselin, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
I love this question. The most important thing I have done as a parent to impact my children is the act of cultivating self awareness and prioritizing self love. Prioritizing your own well-being and personal growth has set a powerful example for my babies. I have been able to become much clearer on healthy boundaries. Setting them, respecting them, creating them… understanding them. Moving me from many environments that were not supporting the becoming of my best self, be it work environments, relationships, friendships, partnerships…etc. The courage to create a surrounding for myself that is based off what GROWS me, what NOURISHES me, what supports me in becoming my BEST self. Going through the action of becoming self aware of this….my daily conversations, what I choose to listen to , watch, the energy that I surround myself , etc. has completely transformed me & my life. And this not only enhances but creates a positive ripple effect that shapes my children’s attitudes, behaviors, and overall outlook on life. It is in my belief that through self awareness and self-love we learn to communicate more effectively, we learn emotional resilience, we learn to be an observer versus an absorber of our environment, and it creates this life long learning attitude that just keeps you open to life in a different way. .

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have been in the mortgage and real estate business for 19 years now. With the recent accomplishment of becoming a mortgage broker this year. In the last 2 decades of mortgage business, I have cultivated a unique approach to my work, drawing on my psychology degree. Each day, I take pride in leveraging my psychological insights to help my clients navigate the emotional complexities of the home-buying & investing process.

What sets my services apart is the fusion of those two worlds—mortgage expertise and psychology. Beyond securing financing, I focus on understanding the true desires and emotions of my clients during what can be a stressful purchase time and provide multiple options to solutions that will deliver to their ultimate goal. Very specific, efficient and concise delivery.

My journey in the mortgage industry has been both challenging and rewarding. Over nearly two decades, I’ve encountered various market shifts and financial landscapes. I have worked front end origination and back end processing. Through it all, my commitment to client-centered, empathetic service has been a constant, helping me overcome obstacles and build lasting relationships that make an impact in my community.

One of my proudest moments is witnessing the positive impact of my holistic approach. It’s immensely fulfilling to see clients not only secure the right mortgage but also feel understood and supported throughout the process. Seeing them understand their purchase and willingly share my name in their family gatherings. That has brought the most joy.

I want the world to know that my role as a mortgage broker goes beyond transactions. For me, it is about fostering genuine connections and providing a calming influence during what is often a stressful time. My psychology background isn’t just a degree; it’s a cornerstone of how I make a difference in the lives of those I serve. My work is to be of service.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If you were in town with me as your guide. We would probably be doing some trail hiking at oletta, bike riding at shark valley, catching some lunch at Treesome cafe. Maybe do an aerial yoga class at BreakFree Movement. Call my friends at FlowState Studios for a workout or a good jam session. I would absolutely call my friends at Rooted Alchemy for some mobile sauna sesh. and then head home to shower and get a grab dinner at Novikov or of course, could never go wrong with a Smith & Wollenskey steak!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This ShoutOut is completely dedicated to my children for being the driving force behind my every decision. For keeping me motivated to create more. For keeping me committed to becoming my best self. For giving me a GRAND-ER vision to my direction. For giving me life, love and light in every moment , no matter what. Thank you for being my reason!
