We had the good fortune of connecting with Josniel Fiallo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Josniel, how does your business help the community?
Volunteering, charitable donations, participation in community festivals and events are all everyday activities that Rex Fabrics does every month. One day we may sponsor a young and starting designer, or a fashion institute in Miami may request our help for an event. Most small business owners we know give to charity, with 90 percent donating to local causes. We contribute directly to local charities and fashion events in Rex Fabrics’ case.
Small business owners like us live and work in our communities, taking pride in making one’s towns a little nicer. Building your small business’s reputation through volunteer work and community involvement may be the most effective advertising you can do, regardless of the goods or services you provide.
Our goal is so that people will not only know us for our Haute Couture Services in Miami, Bespoke Tailoring for Men’s Suits, or Custom Luxury Upholstery but our good actions within the community.
Think about your hometown or local community. Imagine yourself traveling to the main shopping area. Imagine it now without any small enterprises. The neighborhood immediately loses its charm and uniqueness.
A community’s character and uniqueness are reflected in its small business sector. When friends support friends, it is neighbors helping neighbors. Small enterprises, though, encompass much more. In a significant number of specific, measurable ways, they help the communities where they live.
Local communities are supported by their small businesses. More specifically, if you spend $100 locally, about 70% of that money stays in the community.
What should our readers know about your business?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of the most visited cities in the USA, that’s Miami. Our city is a destination that tourists from all over the world want to visit. It is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, wonderful beaches like South Beach, Wynwood murals, and mild weather.
If a friend of mine was visiting the city for a week I would definitely take them to Little Havana, which is a great place to experience and learn about Latin American culture, while we are there I would definitely take him/her to my shop. Luxury shopping is definitely something you’ll want to do while visiting the area, and Rex Fabrics is the best place for that.
South Beach is known for its art deco architecture and popular people-watching. Dining at Ocean Drive would be my first choice. It’s the perfect match of really good food, people watching, and a romantic ambiance.
As a fantastic way to cap off the perfect day, I would take them to Miami’s world-famous nightlife, restaurants, and coffee shops after spending some time lounging on the sand and watching the beautiful sunset.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Starting a successful business will take time. There are numerous factors to consider. You’ll need a business plan as well as funding. As a result, many people seek the guidance of a mentor.
As a relatively new business owner I always had the guidance of the store’s previous owner, my former boss, Ricardo Aldama. He was always teaching me the best practices to make a business successful.
In theory, many people can recognize the benefits that a mentor can provide. However, only a tiny percentage of people receive one. Whatever your business stage is, it is critical to spend money wisely. You don’t want to squander it on frivolous purchases. That is one of the first things your mentor will probably tell you.
It would be best if you didn’t assume that the way you’ve always done anything will result in the best outcomes. We might occasionally find ourselves in a rut. Although we know that a change is necessary, it is frequently challenging to envision how to make it. As a result, we continue to commit the same errors. That is just one of the ways my staff has helped me since I became a business owner, they have always been there to help me with any problems that may arise, and I’m grateful to have them on my team.
