We had the good fortune of connecting with Josue Michel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Josue, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
For the last 16 years before starting my own company and photography business, I worked in a traditional job as an Executive Pastor at the largest church in my state. I loved every day of it. However, due to circumstances with the other pastors, I decided to quit and pursue my own business.

Initially, it was really scary as I was used to having a steady (though relatively low) salary. But I trusted God, and with my wife’s support, we made the change to become a wedding and lifestyle photographer here in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja, Mexico.

In the beginning, I received support from friends by helping them with their weddings and giving away my work for free to build a portfolio. Little by little, clients started coming in, I gained more experience, and I began charging more and more. This enabled me to travel around the state, and even to California and Florida, for destination weddings.

It has truly been a dream come true.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I love weddings because I understand that it is the happiest day for every bride and groom, a day they will remember forever. When I describe my work to people, I say: “I get to be part of the happiest day of couples every weekend!”

My wife and I love to connect with the bride and groom and their families, treating them as friends. We take the time to get to know them and help resolve any issues they might face on their wedding day.

I cherish the fact that I can be friends with my clients even after the work is finished, creating relationships that last forever.

It wasn’t easy to get to this point. I started working more full-time, and then the pandemic hit, causing many weddings to be canceled. Additionally, a lot of “new photographers” emerged, offering services at very low prices. However, there is always work, and couples began to notice the differences between photographers. We kept working hard through the pandemic, and once it was over, we continued to push hard, building our client base, business, and social media presence.

We would love to be your wedding photographers. Our goal is for you to have the best day of your life and remember every detail with the photographs we deliver. Memories in every frame.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, We are base on Valle de Guadalupe Destination stop and trust me, you are going to enjoy every day.

Everywhere you look around you will find a spot and also have Ensenada city 15 min away from here.
