We had the good fortune of connecting with Judit Peralta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Judit, what inspires you?
My mother taught me something profound: when she sees a new business, she doesn’t just see a company; she sees their dreams. She’d say, ‘Look at that family putting together a new business, the husband moving everything around, the wife helping. They’re investing their money, maybe they want to put their son in a better school or travel. They have a dream of creating this new company.’
So, I am inspired by respect for the dreams of everyone who trusts me and believes in me to create their Brand Strategy. For every client that comes to me to create or rebrand their company, I am here for their dreams, honoring and respecting them.
What should our readers know about your business?
Behind starting my new business was a profound process. I had already closed a company in 2020 to focus on being a full-time mother. By 2022, life gave me a challenging yet rewarding opportunity: TIME. It was challenging because my husband found a new job in the USA, and I had to wait for my green card, a process expected to take one year but extended to two. This left me in limbo, feeling like a ping-pong ball, traveling every 3-6 months so my son could see his father and I could see my husband, selling our beautiful apartment, and saying goodbye to many people and things.
But, time well invested is an opportunity. During this period, I decided to have an “Active Waiting.” I prepared myself to go deeper into my spiritual journey, to improve my health, and to prepare myself for a new life in the USA. I enrolled in various online programs and hired Julissa Batista, a Creative Coach, to help me connect with myself from a creative and honest perspective. I attended different spiritual retreats and completed a prenatal and postnatal yoga certification, mainly to heal from my challenging labor process. As I prepared for a new chapter in a new country, I forgave and let go of parts of myself.
The last three years have felt like a roller coaster of emotions, challenges, and risks. I now understand that every day is about taking risks, and it’s a choice I prefer to make. Without taking risks, nothing happens. For me, risks come in many forms: a decision, an investment, hiring someone, choosing a new school for my toddler, meeting new friends in a new country, hiring a nanny, or attending events where I don’t know anyone. Starting over in the USA, there are daily risks. I’ve realized that any challenge is only as difficult as I allow it to be. It’s my personal task to confront all these “risks,” which, in the end, are just part of life. If I shift my perspective, I see how privileged I am to have these opportunities, even if I feel fear daily. I understand that these burning fears are reshaping me at a new level, and I trust the universe that all the risks my family and I have taken are worth it. So, I surrender to these risks.
This allowed me to create The Sunshine Site from the deepest part of my soul. It’s born from my highest energy. I asked myself: What do I see myself truly doing from my truest self? I realized that I love who I am when I’m creating Brand Strategy. I put my energy and service into my clients, and I genuinely enjoy seeing their relief when someone understands them and helps them apply everything to their business. So, I decided to continue offering Brand Strategy for conscious entrepreneurs who aim to create or refine their company’s message in alignment with their values and the greater good of humanity.
What I want most people to know about me is that I have created The Sunshine Site, my Brand Strategy company, from honesty and respect. I genuinely want to offer my services from my higher self. I am here to honor and respect every person who interacts and works with me. I am truly passionate about creating Brand Strategy for others, which is why I created a 6-week program to accomplish it. I believe that every business needs to invest brain and creative time to have the real message of their brand, which can be easily communicated to their employees, customers, and suppliers.
Additionally, one of my personal exercises to connect with myself is my morning pages, inspired by Julia Cameron’s book “The Artist’s Way.” Through this process, I remembered how much I love to write and express my ideas. That’s why I created my blog on my website. To be honest, the blog is for me—to keep doing what my soul is asking me, and I decided to share it with others.
The Sunshine Site is a blend of my energy to inspire daily, contribute to others’ projects, and evolve together. The Sunshine Site is a living being in constant evolution. I have more phases for this project, which I will present in due time. Hope we can do it together.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live on Long Island, so we’d start our adventure at a local coffee shop called Kookaburra Coffee Co. We’d sit and chat a bit, getting a feel for her mood and what she’d like to do for the week (my marketer mind doing a little research and brief). We’d snack at my house, and then in the evening, to welcome her, we’d head to Aperitif Bistro Wine Bar, a French restaurant located in Rockville Center. I’d recommend the escargot and check out the specials.
I love breakfast, so I’d probably cook something different for my best friend each morning—homemade pancakes, bagels, or whatever inspiration hits me. If we’re not in the mood to cook, we’d go to a local bagelry, diner, or “Our Town Grille” in Malverne to give her the classic “American diner experience.”
We’d visit a museum exhibit and take the Long Island Railroad to Manhattan. Depending on the season, I’d check what’s on at Bryant Park—whether a movie or local shops. We’d go to the MoMA or MET to enjoy masterpieces, taking in the seasonal exhibits and looking for on-season pop-up exhibitions and experiences in other areas of NYC. To know what to do depending on the season, I always visit secretnyc.co to see what’s new.
A walk-through Central Park would be a must, appreciating the Gilded Age architecture around it and later enjoying our coffee in a cute café.
In Manhattan, I love to go with the flow, so I’d use Google Maps to find nearby restaurants based on our mood and the time of day. I love reading reviews and checking the vibe of places on Instagram before deciding.
Back on Long Island, we’d walk along Long Beach to soak in the vibe and have deep conversations, catching up on life. As I have a toddler, we’d spend some time in a park, enjoying the playground.
On Long Island, we’d definitely go shopping at local stores, the Roosevelt Field mall, and the many different shops around it. One night, I’d pick up local pizza from Tori T’s Pizzeria in Malverne. We’d indulge at the Malverne Pastry Shop, my favorite bakery, enjoying the best Neapolitans, brownies, fruit tarts, and more. We’d also visit Organic Krush Kitchen & Eatery in Rockville Center, where my favorite dish is the sweet potato burrito. We’d play board games and enjoy the good vibes
My husband and I love to homecook and enjoy meals with friends and family at home with food we bought from local farms like Crossroads Farm at Grossmann’s, or from supermarkets around.
We’d take another trip to Manhattan, exploring downtown and going with the flow. On other days, we’d watch a movie and prepare hot cocoa. It’s all about enjoying the moment and making the most of our time together.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without a doubt, my husband, my mother, my father, my sisters Diana & Luisa, and my closest cousins (Raquel, Ivette, Karina, and Franchesca), as well as many aunts who are like mothers to me, deserve recognition. They encourage and challenge me in ways that propel me forward, and when I feel lost, they become my compass to remember my North. Thank you for your love.
Additionally, I need to express that with so many careers and types of advisors available, it’s essential to consult them. I don’t know everything, which is why I have hired professionals at every step of my life. Time has shown me that to accomplish anything or overcome every moment, we need help. I have sought assistance in every aspect of my life—from therapy, yoga teachers, shamans, and special nutritionists for myself and my toddler, to lactation consultants, creativity consultants, and many more.
I want to dedicate this article to some of my many mentors, teachers, and friends: Sylvie Delabaude, Taller 11:11, Julissa Batista, and the list could go on… I see these as moving an energy of abundance where we support each other.
