We had the good fortune of connecting with Julian Restrepo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Julian, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Speaking from a Creatives perspective, I measure success by how your craft maintains your personal life. By that, I mean if you can live off of your craft, keep a healthy relationship with your subconscious, and are happy with the work you put out; then, you are successful. I’d measure it by the quality of life your very own craft brings to you rather than the dollar figures.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
-Set apart/ambition Nothing about my journey has been nor come easy. The vision I’m building for my brand is at a scale that is larger than myself. I am building a Luxury Fashion House specifically based out of Miami, with ambitions to grow at the scale of Louis Vuitton and be the biggest or if not the first Luxury Fashion House based in my city.
Other than the clothing, One of the MONFETTIs biggest ambitions is to be a school for young designers. I didn’t come from a wealthy family nor major connections within the fashion industry when I started my brand. So, I do understand how hard it could be for young creatives and designers to gain experience and make major connections without graduating from a top fashion school. Eventually, MONFETTI aspires to help guide and raise future generations of creatives of all fields, not only fashion.
– Proud
Id say, I’m proud to see that my craft/work/creativity has made me grow mentally, that I see and feel my vision getting closer each day. It makes me extremely excited to keep pushing and woking towards my goals and ambitions.
– Professional Progress
I am in the place I am in today because of my drive to reach and accomplish my goals, thanks to the guidance around me. I am blessed to have close relationships with very successful Creatives and Entrepreneurs that have guided me in the right directions from the beginning. Nothing about this has been easy, but, I wouldn’t have it any other way.. its built character in me and my craft.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Current Favorite Restaurants –

Current Favorite coffee shop –

Other than nightlife, I love working out and being active, Riding bike near the beach, and enjoying Miamis local art galleries.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give flowers to all of the people around me. Im extremely grateful for my partner (Jason Garcia) for putting me in positions and rooms I probably wouldn’t get to alone, Best friend (Rodrigo Gotera) for assisting me with everything personal and styling related to my brand, Close friend (Mauricio Gotera) for helping me with all video & photography content that’s been put out for my brand, close friend (Roberto Gatica) for guidance and theoretical business ideas, and the best for last, I am extremely blessed to have parents that have done nothing but believe and support my vision, ambitions, and goals.
These are only a few people that I could name, but I have a strong circle of Entrepreneurs and Creative friends that believe in my vision more than I do at time. So, on that note; everyone that’s been a part of my vision deserves their flowers.
