We had the good fortune of connecting with July 7 Who Killed The President Of Haiti? and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi July 7, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
July 7 LLC helps the community by bringing a powerful film that offers deep insight into the reality of Haiti, its struggles, its resilience, and its truth. Through storytelling, we create awareness, spark dialogue, and challenge the narratives that have long misrepresented our people.

Our mission is not just to entertain, but to educate, empower, and inspire. By telling this story through a Haitian lens, we give voice to a community that has too often been silenced or misunderstood. We’re creating space for healing, for truth, and for connection, not just for Haitians, but for anyone who believes in justice and the power of truth.

This is more than a movie. It’s a movement.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
If July 7: Who Killed the Haitian President? were a person, it would say what sets it apart is that this is the first time the story is being told through the lens of a Haitian by us, for us. That perspective matters. It brings authenticity, emotion, and truth that you simply can’t get from the outside looking in.

No, it wasn’t easy. Far from it. It’s such a delicate, emotionally charged subject, one that’s still fresh and painful for many. Navigating that as filmmakers, while staying true to the facts and the heart of the Haitian people, came with real challenges. There were moments of doubt, setbacks, and pressure, but what carried us through was the conviction that this story needed to be told, accurately, unapologetically, and with integrity.

What July 7 would want the world to know is this: this is a story that needs to be seen. Not just for Haiti, but for the world to understand the complexity, the history, and the humanity behind what happened. It’s more than just a film, it’s a voice for a people too often overlooked or misrepresented.

As for our team, what we’re most proud of is that we stayed true to our purpose. We honored our culture, our truth, and our pain with courage and creativity. And what weX want the world to know about our brand and story is this: we’re here to tell the stories that matter and we’re just getting started.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If our July 7 team had a best friend visiting, the first stop would be to check out all the beautiful theaters nearby where July 7: Who Killed the President of Haiti? will be playing starting May 16, 2025. It’s not just a movie,it’s an experience. So we’d say, grab your popcorn, settle in, and get ready for a film that will make you think, laugh, and feel deeply.

After the movie, we’d take them out to celebrate the power of Haitian storytelling. Maybe hit up a few local Haitian spots: Pearl of the Island style dining, live kompa music, and of course, some cremas and griot to close the night right. Throughout the week, we’d dive into art galleries, community events.

Because at the end of the day, this trip wouldn’t just be about sightseeing, it’d be about experiencing the heart of a movement, celebrating Haitian excellence, and showing love to the people and places that made this film possible.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! A huge shoutout goes to the incredible team who brought July 7 to life and continue to make it the phenomenon that it has become.
