We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Haynes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Justin, what role has risk played in your life or career?

Every design, stitch, photo, and post is a risk, but being confident, consistent, and knowing that you have a specific client base that was specifically designed for you makes it easier.

The act of taking the risk and initiating JUS10H has led me to where I am today.

I’m thankful for the risk that enabled me to become known globally in the world

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

In addition to designing and tailoring for my brands JUS10H and Luxury label ONYX, I also hold international recognition as a Fashion Coach. Specifically, I have been recognized in China, Singapore, London, United Kingdom, Asia, UAE, and Ukraine to name a few.
My sneaker collection is under development with Batz Company in Budapest, Hungary and will be released soon.
I hold the position of Vice Chairman at the Tokyo Fashion Council and am a prominent American figure in the Japanese fashion industry. I have recently teamed up with Revlon Japan and unveiled JUSTIN HAYNES TOKYO.

My commitment to sustainability in the fashion industry as a classic and edgy designer has been achieved through hard work, passion, and determination. Every day was a challenge. To tell the truth, there are days that are still challenging, but I persevere. I’ve come to the realization that not everyone will like what I do, and that’s okay. There is a group of people who were made specifically for me. Displaying self-confidence and determination to the world is my aim. I want the world to witness my life and brand and understand that anything is achievable.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

First, I give thanks to God for allowing me to do what I do.

Second, my parents, Gwen Haynes and my father, The Late Walter M Haynes Jr., raised me to become the man you see today.

Third, Ms. Jessie Daniels taught me the correct way to sew from the ends and out.

Finally, to all the models, hair stylists, make-up artists, photographers, videographers, and magazine editors who have remained consistent with me, I thank you.
