We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Roethlingshoefer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Justin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my business because I was tired of watching high-performing leaders trade their health for their mission—and I knew there had to be a better way. I wasn’t okay with the narrative that burnout is the badge of honor or that success has to cost you your soul, your family, or your body.
I had lived that lie. I had chased success with blinders on, until my body and spirit broke. That moment became my awakening. I realized: leaders don’t need to sacrifice themselves to be great—they need to steward what God gave them. That’s when OWN IT was born. It wasn’t a business idea. It was a calling to redeem health and bring leaders back into alignment—spirit, soul, and body.

What should our readers know about your business?
What I’d love the world to know about the brand and story is that you win if you don’t quit. You are designed to heal and designed to thrive, but we have to be put in an environment that our bodies can actually do what it was designed to do, which is heal. And it’s a magical thing, and I love being able to teach people how that lifestyle looks and how they can implement it for themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love going out to Key Biscayne and hanging out in Crandon Park. Coconut Grove is one of my favorite spots for nights out and date nights. And I love the restaurant scene in Coral Gables and Wynwood.

Just a shout out to the OWN IT team—how powerful the team is, how awesome the team is, how dedicated the team is, how intentional the team is to this mission and this movement to make it happen.
