Meet JVRA | Recording Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with JVRA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi JVRA, what do you attribute your success to?
I honestly feel the success behind my music really comes down to my honesty. People love authenticity. I discover more about myself every day and I do my best to portray my authentic self in my music.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My upcoming music is all originally written by yours truly. I believe what sets me apart from other artist is my determination and willingness to always learn. In any project I do, I take on the role of a student. This has allowed me to grow and own my talent. I’m really excited for the year 2024 because my audience will finally get to hear what I’ve been working on for the past two years. Getting to this position was definitely not easy. In today’s social media world it’s so easy to get distracted. I’m sure we’ve all been victims of scrolling on our phone for hours. I think the biggest challenge for me at one point was comparing other success to my own. I would see others successful career through social media and sometimes it would make me feel sad because I haven’t reached the goals I set for myself. I had to learn that success comes in many different forms. When I started to appreciate the little wins, I slowly started to find my peace. I feel I truly overcame my obstacle when I completely fell in love with my art. I learned success isn’t measured by the achievements of those around me. Success was finding peace within myself and personal fulfillment in the music I create. I want the world to know that my music is honest. In that honesty, you’ll find joy, happiness, love, fear, anxiousness, empowerment, and anger. The list of emotions can go on and on. When people tune in, they’re going to really get to know me. That can be a bit scary, but who knows, my honesty just might help someone else who is struggling.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a Texas guy so we would probably eat Whataburger every day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out my parents and grandparents whose unwavering love and support never fails. I would also like to recognize my amazing partner Charlie, who keeps me grounded and sane through this crazy journey.
