We had the good fortune of connecting with Kahlia Meeks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kahlia, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Kahlia Meeks Enterprises is an entity which has a global social impact while serving our local community(ies) as well. I, Kahlia Meeks, am the founder of a non-profit organization named, Jumpstart Towards Success, which assists our brothers and sisters who are struggling to make it in this world with no help. With job loss, no means to pay rent/mortgage and the inability to put food on the table, so many worthy people are doing without. So many dreams are deferred based upon unforeseen circumstances and we can help forge those dreams into realities. In an economy of wastefulness, we can put our funds to constructive use by giving others a “Jumpstart Towards Success”.

Additionally, Kahlia Meeks Enterprises is an organization with a global following of individuals that is focused on teaching human beings how to manifest their pre-ordained destinies and all desires of life which are inclusive of: personal development; physical; mental; and spiritual well-being; independence; and entrepreneurship. I have been a public speaker for decades along with being an author and certified life coach. I am logical; rational; compassionate; and a loving humanitarian who has dedicated my life to positively change the lives of others by offering motivational teaching through positive reinforcements. Personal development and the manifestation of destiny are my key methods of motivating others by providing key life tools to allow strategic goals and visions to be attained. I am most proud of the fact that I have been honored to contribute positive life changing tools to many lives for the betterment of self with my self-published book, Manifest Your Destiny: Use Your Personal Growth and Development to Manifest What is Destined for Your Life’s Path.

I am also a certified life coach and a proud member of the NAACP- Atlanta, Georgia and Miami, Florida- chapters; along with being a volunteer of Feeding South Florida to feed millions of Floridians. Ultimately, my life’s mission to change the lives of others for self-improvement is that I am radical and have no fear in the fight of what is right and wrong with unbiased, consistent and objective standpoints. Additionally, I openly target individuals of all socioeconomic statuses, ethnicities, countries, religions, spiritual practices, genders, sexual orientations, and encourage them to never give up while applying my teachings of Manifest Your Destiny. Lastly, I challenge all man-made conceptualizations deemed ‘normal’ and especially the blatant superiority and inferiority complexes uninhibitedly imposed upon a certain set of individuals within the United States and the bond-servants captured and illegally forced into free labor.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the President and CEO of national and international organizations, Kahlia Meeks Enterprises; Illustrious Consultants; Most Divine Tresses; Jumpstart Towards Success which is a non-profit organization; and a film production company. I also have a podcast named, KAHLIA SE$$IONS on YouTube, Anchor.FM, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeart Radio, and many other well-known outlets which speaks of a multitude of topics with the main objective to Manifest Your Destiny. To conclude, I am a contributor of ideas that change who we are by providing substantial and authentic articles with regards to realistic everyday topics on Medium.com. Concerning all of my endeavors, what sets me apart from others is that I incorporate all attributes of personal development and strategic goal and vision execution into every organization. As an independent businesswoman, I perform all mental and physical exertions with integrity and the use of my fine-tuned moral compass. Incorporating empathy, compassion, logic and rationale are ways that keep me and my entities succeeding.

I have arrived where I am in business because I refused to be complacent with societal norms which limit many individuals from progressing to have a better life mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. I had to learn that in order to bear the metaphorical fruits of business, a realistic approach had to be taken. Learning that planting the seeds, watering the terrain while nurturing the soil along with having patience for the plant to grow and later bear fruit was the spine of growing my businesses.

My organizations have been grown and are still growing to leave legacies of knowledge and wealth in many life aspects for my future generations. The path to business ownership, financial independence, enhanced personal development and intensified spirituality was not smooth. There were many highs and lows, gains and losses, victories and defeats. Fortunately, I viewed the experiences as lessons for growth versus struggles. I had the fortunate ability to make the path appear easy as I have always excelled in my achievements. However, I climbed the proverbial mountain of losses and gains. I respected losing and winning once I gained control of my higher self. I lost business deals, was down to my last financially and still remained firm in my faith. Faith allowed me to carry on with determination, resolve, staying power and purpose.

I can proudly say the rough road which I decided to take is now paved because I refined the roughness of the road along my journey. The scars from climbing the mountain have healed and I have proudly and humbly pitched my flag at the top of the mountain. I want the world to know that my brand is built on a foundation which is strong and cannot be broken as it has been constructed to be impermeable against any negative elements contrary to legacy and permanent progress. I want the world to know that my story is one of life experiences and circumstances which have afforded me the honor to help change the lives of others to build and also allow individuals to first handedly witness evolution. My story is also one that holds fear for nil. I am a walking testimony that teaches souls how one can overcome any and all adversities whether imposed by self or society by beginning the process of developing change personally to better themselves for strategic life goal attainment. My story is not stereotypical, but rather atypical due to embracing and practicing my uniqueness with humble pride and grace.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I currently reside in Florida in the regions of Miami and Fort Lauderdale. There are so many remarkable spots in both cities. In the event my best friend visits South Florida for a week-long trip, I would first ask if there are any places or ideas they would like to visit or experience. Once my best friend’s trip desires are received, I would incorporate my ideas so the trip will be most enjoyable. Enjoying the beach is a major component of my life so I would start with any beaches from South Beach to West Palm and Florida’s west coast, preferably Naples or Marco Island. I would also plan a spa day at the Four Seasons to enjoy their service offerings. We will most definitely visit Bal Harbour Village to have an enjoyable mega-chic shopping and dining experience. I love to laugh and enjoy comedy shows so I will pre-plan an evening at the Improv Comedy Club. We’d also go to Wynwood, Overtown and Fort Lauderdale to experience fabulous dining and lounges and take in some jazz or any type of live music. The week will be filled of going to places where we grew up and visit with family and long-time friends. Essentially, the week-long trip will be fun and full of epic memories.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Firstly, I have to give thanks to The Most High who has been with me to guide me in this journey of life full of obedience and sacrifices. Credit goes to my family members and dearest loved ones who have always given me unwavering support throughout my life. My mother, Reverend Dorothy McMiller, refers to me as her “Sunshine” and has always told me that I will complete all of my goals due to my tenacity and strength. My father, Harry Meeks, has always told me, “You’ve been taught, trained and coached. The rest is up to you.” My sister, Rasheda Meeks, taught me the fundamentals of life as a child and how to follow in her footsteps so that I would adapt to life’s circumstances properly as we are extremely close in age. My brother, Willie Wiggins, is selfless and has always supported all of my decisions and accomplishments with love. My Godparents, Felix and Estela, have been instrumental in the enhancement of my spirituality which has made my relationship with self and The Most High magnificently beautiful. My family and friends (here and gone) have always known that my visions that are considered unrealistic or out of this world by the multitude of society would be executed and successfully completed.
