We had the good fortune of connecting with Katrina Margell-Fleisher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katrina, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
My work life balance has recently endured a massive curveball by way of motherhood. It has been a challenge juggling my business, my husband’s business, our tw0-year-old boy, household duties, errands, and meals, not to mention having to navigate all of these things during a pandemic. I’ve had to learn to simplify and prioritize. I keep my daily “to do” lists short and manageable, and I do my best to only work on one task at a time. It helps to remind myself to be present and breathe when I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed. I also do one thing for myself every day, even if it’s something small like read some poetry or take a long shower.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m an independent marketing professional (Click Kat Web & Marketing), specializing in weddings and events. I work closely with my husband’s company, Let’s Party! DJs & Events, and our venue project, Royal Palm Events, creating engaging content, websites, and ad campaigns to reach clients. I came into the business somewhat by chance. I’ve always enjoyed writing, graphic design, and web design, and when I met my husband, I realized I could use my talents to take his business to the next level while also creating my own niche in the marketing industry. I’m excited to spread messages of love and celebration, promoting companies that offer both quality and value to people. I think that balance is important. Why pay more for the same services when you don’t have to? On your wedding day, it’s important to have the best of the best, but realize you can have outstanding quality that will still allow you to save for your honeymoon, and most importantly, your upcoming life together.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To be honest, I’m a bit of a homebody, but when company visits, my “must see/do/eat” list includes: Pizza Time (Coral Springs), Cherry Smash (Coral Springs), Melting Pot (Boca Raton), Morikami Gardens (Boca Raton), Gumbo Limbo (Boca Raton), Boca Raton Beach, The Field Irish Pub (Fort Lauderdale), La Bamba (Margate), Mizner Park (Boca Raton), City Place (West Palm), Way Beyond Bagels (Boca Raton), The Blue Anchor (Delray Beach), Taverna Kyma (Boca Raton)

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my husband and business partner, Bud Fleisher. Due to his hard work and support, we excel together.
