We had the good fortune of connecting with Kawine & Kerlyne Clermont and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kawine & Kerlyne, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
When you start daydreaming and thinking frequently about your business, that’s when you know you should keep going. If it’s something you genuinely want to do, you shouldn’t give up. You should never let stress or feeling overwhelmed stop you from pursuing your passion or goal in life, especially if you desire more for yourself and your future. Additionally, receiving and seeing other people’s feedback motivates you to keep going.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The development of our company is what most excites us. We maintained consistency and kept in mind why we began to become where we are now. Balancing our careers while making time to manage a business has not been simple. We overcome it by creating a schedule and taking advantage of the fact that there were only the two of us as proprietors. The lesson we’ve learnt along the way is to persevere in the face of obstacles. We stand out because we customize some of our items. We want people to know to check us out if they’re looking for stylish and cozy clothing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would absolutely take a buddy to two separate beaches, like Las Olas and South Beach, if they were spending a week in the city. At a well-known hotel, we would also spend the day relaxing by the pool. We would go on excursions to Bayside for a boat trip, the Everglades Alligator Tour, the Bahamas for a day, the Aventura Mall for shopping, and we would eat at a few well-known restaurants throughout the week, including Bar One, Chef Creole, Honey Inhibited, and Havana 1964, to name a few..
