Meet Keane Carter-Reaves | Owner and Founder of Bridge Gang Ent.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keane Carter-Reaves and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keane, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
All of our lives we were taught to grow up go to school and get a good education afterwards get a good job with benefits. rarely are we encouraged to be business owners and work for ourselves, and as a person who has worked for several different companies and have been let go from the majority of them, I wanted to try my hand at working for myself. figuring out my God-given gift and learning how i can live off of it. I didn’t want to be that person who works a 9-5 because it pays the bills and helps me to get by., what good is that and I’m miserable every time i clock in? That lifestyle is not the one for me especially when I serve a God who has created me with unique and specific purpose and who says that there is no limitation to what i can do being centered in him. so my thought process was I’m going to take God at his word and step out on faith.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am what is considered a Christian hip-hop artist I also own my own business which is entitled Bridge Gang Ent. I am in the process of creating my own merchandise and apparel line, in an effort to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ in a non-traditional way. If I had to choose something that sets me apart from others it would be my faith and how I do not keep it separate from my business and the content that I put out.
In regards to how I got to where I am now professionally it was through faith, hard work, prayer, investment and consistency. It wasn’t easy, sometimes I second-guess myself contemplated giving up and settling, however God gave me strength and I persevered and this is just the beginning. Some lessons that I learned along the way on this journey is that not everything will go as you planned it, understand that you will get out what you put in because at this point you are your own boss. Definitely do not rely on anyone else to make the vision and dream that you have come true cause they cannot possibly get it done exactly the way you dreamed it because it is your dream. The only thing I want the world to know about me, my journey and my success is that it has everything to do with the God that I serve and how he blesses me because it’s not about me but it is a display of his love and his glory. I could’ve easily went down the wrong path and have made some distractive decisions in my life but because of the Grace and love of Jesus Christ and the truth that is only found in him I can stand before you today and tell you that he is real and he did it for me, he can do it for you if you would surrender and believe.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Definitely Downtown Miami, Brickell Centre, Wynwood Area, These are a must if you are in the city (There are way more places but ill be here all day trying to tell you all of them), Recommended food joints wpuld be the World Famous Eggroll spot in Miami Gardens, a trip to the house of Mac and my Favorite out the three Negril Way. Miami has it all, beaches, skating, bowling, dinning, sight seeing honestly you just got to pick your poison.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to be authentically and unapologetically me, and in doing so my ultimate shoutout goes to Jesus Christ, not to be overly religious or anything but thats just the reality of my circumstance, everything I have, built, obtain and Am is because of Jesus Christ, He changed my life he showed me the way put me in places and introduced me to people who would continue to pour into me and give me the tools and the game necessary to get to the next chapter in my life. Jesus gets the number 1 Shoutout. Some people I would also like to mention briefly are: Sherad K. Burns, Carl Jamal, Professor Biz, Ilish, Keon, Bigbreeze, Son Son aka Marv, My brothers and sisters at The Bridge Fellowship, My mother, Father and family, thats not even the half of who played a part in my success and the person you see today.
