We had the good fortune of connecting with Kellie Daher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kellie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Over the course of my career, I had the opportunity to assist some amazing, high-profile people and worked for the companies they owned.

Then, Covid happened and I was furloughed for 90 days. While being in quarantine and not working, I started thinking…
I had worked for corporate companies for 20 years and always felt my life was never my own. During this downtime, I really enjoyed the much-needed break and the newfound freedom. I felt my time was finally mine and Monday-Friday no longer belonged to someone else.

But of course, I had to make a decision… Do I continue working for corporate companies or continue this same career, but work for myself instead? The easier decision would have been to stay on the path that was familiar and comfortable. However, I would not be able to have the freedom and flexibility I always wanted. I remember saying to myself, “I am doing this and I am going to make it happen. There is no other option.” So, I started formulating my business plan.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Looking back on my career, I am proud and grateful that I have been given the opportunity to work with numerous high-profile CEO’s, Celebrities, Professional Athletes and Coaches. In my line of work, trust and confidentiality are paramount and something I take very seriously. This is one thing I know has helped further my career to where it is today.

I really enjoy working with public figures. It’s very exciting working behind the scenes, organizing and managing their fast pace, busy lives. Watching their accomplishments all come to fruition and knowing you helped facilitate it, is very rewarding! And, they all seem to have one thing in common… a positive attitude! I have learned so much about life from these individuals and I am inspired every day.

Over the years, there have been many difficult and challenging moments. However, they were always learning experiences which helped me gain confidence and perseverance. When I face challenges now, I always keep in mind that everything is temporary. Just keep pushing through it and you will always find yourself in a better place!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to try new restaurants, shop, workout and spend time with family and friends. I also love to travel, but nothing is like home! Born and raised in Miami and now living in Ft. Lauderdale, I would have to say South Florida is definitely home and such a vibe!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my Mother. When I shared my business idea with her, she said “you have to try or you will never know”. She is my biggest supporter and my best friend. She always taught me to be strong and independent, but also to be kind and loving to everyone. I am so grateful to have been raised this way and for her continued love, support and positive example.
