We had the good fortune of connecting with Kellie Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kellie, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work-life balance is one of the most important aspects of life. I find that it is common for people to fall into the trap of more work, and less play as they seek success and financial gain as their source of happiness. But true happiness comes with prioritizing those around you, having humble moments, and setting strict work hours to achieve your goals.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I took the opportunity during the Covid-19 pandemic to do a Master’s in Magazine Journalism remotely; it opened up many doors that have allowed me to write and edit for many incredible Mags across the globe. In addition, I’ve had the opportunity to write for brands, interview celebrities, and attend the most wonderful events and festivals. Now my goals are in Marketing, a fantastic creative space where I can help many companies across the US expand and grow their business online. This career choice has allowed me to work from many places in the World and has given me the freedom to explore and indulge in my thirst for travel and adventure.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
An ideal day in South Florida would be coffee at Circle House or Wells Coffee and breakfast/brunch at Batch, followed by a beach day. The Brightline train to Miami for a late lunch at Cafe Bastille in Brickell and a sunset stroll down the promenade in Sunny Isles. Evening dinner at Petralunga in Miami and drinks at The Wine Garden or Holly Blue in Fort Lauderdale. It’d be a busy day of eating and drinking, but I’m sure my guest would have a blast!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Big thanks to my former teachers at Cardiff University, and the Editors in Chief at all the wonderful magazines I’ve worked at around the Globe, especially It’s On Cardiff, who gave me the opportunity to sit in front of celebrities and ask them questions. Shoutout to my friends for being supportive and never doubting! And lastly, to Josie, for being my reminder to take every opportunity that swings my way.
