We had the good fortune of connecting with Kemuel Pierre-louis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kemuel, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Upon graduating with my masters, I had tons of networking experience in Miami, Florida and figured most people would come to me for the services I rendered throughout my collegiate career. This calculated risked allowed me to employ some of the most skilled crew members to produce some creative and original visuals production in and out.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Watching and studying great movies and books have aKeats inspired me to step my game up in my original writings and productions. It wasn’t easy at all! In fact, I still think some of my work doesn’t fare well with some of the productions and books that inspired me from before although I have written 41 different movies. I overcame those challenges by giving myself a lot of time not watching what is popular today or reading best sellers but more so on what was remembered for a lifetime and reading historical literature and trying to mimic that formula in my own works. Even reading the Holy Bible and The book of Enoch helped me keep a line that I used to keep relevant well after my published works have been made to the public. The lessons I learned was that everyone who grabs a pen has to go through growth in their own works. I feel that I’ve hurdled over what was deemed as “accepted to modern times” and made timeless features for generations to study once I am gone. If I’m never recognized for my work, I still would like to be considered as a robust and versatile writer and creative director. It’s not about the quantity anymore; it’s about the quality of work, and the message that is left when grabbing the pen to write a movie or pickup a the camera for a production.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When going on adventures around the city during my down time, I enjoy taking public transportation and walking around some of my most beautifully designed areas of Miami. This helps me paint my canvas on paper to give me a realistic goal when writing and directing locally. I would take anyone to the sandy beaches of Bal Harbour beach, the Amelia Earhart park or vizcaya to show my guest beautiful the masonry is here. There are a ton of little special museums and restaurants that are all over this city that I enjoyed attending in the art district, design district and Wynwood as well. Key Biscayne and Coral Gables also has hidden gems to see when having the time to explore.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I read a lot of Shakespeare and Harry Potter while writing some of my feature film screenplays. Edgar Allen Poe was also another writer I delved into first before writing some of my original works. Just looking at these authors and seeing how versatile they were and how timeless their writing was made me step up my own works hoping to have screenplays that would be remembered by all for generations and not just for modern day time while alive.
