Hi Kenneth, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Without risk, there is no reward. During my lifetime, I’ve met far too many people who had great ideas but failed to put them into action. The success that comes with building a business is usually measurable, but the feeling of satisfaction is indescribable.

Turning ideas into reality often involves a leap of faith and a willingness to embrace uncertainty. Many people have great ideas but become paralyzed over fear of failure. The real reward comes not just from achieving success but from the personal growth and fulfillment that come with taking risks and seeing your vision come to life. That satisfaction often outweighs the tangible measures of success. My advice to all is to “just do it!”

My daughter, Jenna, help convince me to follow my passion. Being in finance my entire life, starting a fragrance company was quite differtent.

In fact, starting a fragrance company was a significant departure from my longstanding career in finance, but it was a journey fueled by passion and personal encouragement. My daughter played a crucial role in this transition, helping me rediscover and follow a dream that was perhaps long buried under the weight of practical responsibilities.

In finance, I dealt with numbers, spreadsheets, and strategic plans, which are vital but can sometimes feel detached from personal fulfillment. Jenna’s belief in my passion for fragrances and her encouragement provided a pivotal shift in perspective. Her support helped me see that pursuing something I genuinely love—something as sensory and emotional as fragrance—could offer a more profound sense of satisfaction and joy.

The process of building a fragrance company from the ground up involves creativity, innovation, and a deep understanding of sensory experiences. Unlike finance, which often deals with abstract concepts and data, creating fragrances taps into an artistic side and allows for personal expression. It’s a field where you can blend science and art, creating products that evoke emotions and memories.
