We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenneth Fowler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kenneth, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
The creative freedom! The freedom to create entertainment for an audience is an indescribable feeling. The creative process leading up to shows or events is magical. I’ve been blessed with a career that allows me to be free, create, inspire and teach instead of sitting behind a desk for long periods of time working the normal 9 to 5. The magic of sharing whats in my mind with an audience and how it shifts the space they’re in with excitement, adrenaline and thrill is why I chose this career path. I get to connect with people in creative ways. It’s addictive in a way. The response from a crowd of people, the excitement on their faces, the chants and screams from a room of individuals that are loving the way I’m making them feel with what I created.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m proud of and excited that I get to create with not only myself but other talented individuals that represents my company…Our Company I should say because without them this company wouldn’t be what it is today. The talented people I’m surrounded with is the support system that I will ever have. These people are irreplaceable in my heart. I’m also proud that I had the privilege to mentor and teach them. Inspire them in creative ways.
How did I get here professionally? There’s no set manual for this career. The best way in my opinion is study the greats, learn all that you can, be creatively brave, learn from your failures. The failures are needed..without them you won’t learn and grow.
The lessons I’ve learned is to never rush a creative process, don’t be afraid or too prideful to ask for help and trust and allow others to help. Keep an open mind during your creation process.
What do I want the world to know about me? I want the world to know that I’m a leader, an educator in the arts. I take pride in my work and the light of inspiration that I put into others by doing what I love with hope that I can inspire others to do what they love and inspire the world to follow their dreams.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The first place that comes to mind is my all time favorite place to visit…Las Vegas! It’s filled with exciting adventures, attractions and the best entertainment shows on the planet. Seeing one of Cirque Du Soleil’s most popular shows will be first on the list. MJ One is my number one favorite so more than likely, we will see that show again! Riding down the Las Vegas strip in a rented Slingshot vehicle, or scooter. Rent a few Atv’s and take a thrill ride through the desert, zip lining over a crowd of people downtown on Fremont Street. There’s one particular diner where I love to eat…I can’t think of the name at the moment but it’s located on the strip across from the Circus Circus hotel. There’s an endless list of adventurous things I would do.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to give a shoutout to a special organization Unit 9. A unique organization that is taking the creative world in their hands and making it special, different and inspiring to the community. They challenge me to be better. Unit 9 is a special group of entertainers..An organization of Super Villains but with a twist! Not your average Villains..these Villains are the life of your party! The Villain Party Squad! This special entertainment organization will turn any party into a crowd pleasing, immersive-ground break thrilling adventure.
