Meet Keondre Pascal | Educator | Philanthropist | CEO of KoreoKingz Inc.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keondre Pascal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keondre, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My business, KoreoKingz, is more than just a brand. It’s a sanctuary. Through the arts, I create a space where Artists can escape their trauma and find their voice. It’s about being seen, heard, and felt. I’m not just teaching dance or step; I’m showing them what it means to be part of a community that cares. When they’re with me, they’re not just learning skills, they’re learning to thrive in a way that’s authentic and vulnerable. It’s about passion, love, and connection.
Through KoreoKingz, I aim to push the boundaries of artistic expression while nurturing the emotional growth of my students. By advancing the arts in America, I’m not just referring to technical skill or innovation. I’m alluding to using art to touch hearts, bridge gaps, and foster empathy. My goal is to create a ripple effect that goes beyond the stage or studio, inspiring a sense of understanding that resonates deeply with people. By advancing hearts, I believe we can create a more vibrant, inclusive, and compassionate society one count, one stomp, and one artistic expression at a time.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a Music Teacher for SBBC, and founder of KoreoKingz, I’ve found a unique synergy between my professional career and entrepreneurial pursuits.
Through my teaching role, I’m able to connect with students who might benefit from my services, understanding their needs and interests firsthand. This allows me to tailor KoreoKingz’ offerings to meet their specific needs, creating a more personalized and effective experience. By serving them immediately, based on our conversations and observations, I can make a meaningful impact on their growth and development. This dual role has been instrumental in helping me reach and serve my students in a way that’s both authentic and impactful.
As for my journey, I’ve definitely faced challenges, but instead of mentioning those here I’d rather leave people knowing that resilience and determination are what propelled me. Through my recent and old experiences, I’ve learned valuable lessons about perseverance, adaptability, and the importance of staying true to my vision.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with people on a deep level, understanding their struggles and triumphs, and using that connection to foster growth, creativity, and again, community.
I want the world to know that my story is one lead, not just by skill, but by passion. Not only possessing transparency & love, but teaching it to those around me, and showing them how it can enhance their growth in the arts !

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Haha ! This is a cool question. Depending on what she likes is where we’ll most likely go, and I’m extremely open, so being place specific is hard for me. A draft perfect itinerary to me, these days, might look like:
Get ready | 10am
Brunch | 11am
– My favorite brunch meal is anicelt flavored, medium well Steak & Eggs meal with hash browns and Bacon. If the restaurant allows, I’ll try some sort of specialty French toast on the side.
Escape Room | 2pm
– This could’ve also been an outdoor activity, like paint balling, or another indoor like painting with a twist.
Nap & Rest Time | 4-6pm
– I am a HUGEEE napper and after a certain hours my social battery needs to be recharged. I have a bout a 2 hour max (comfortably) anywhere that I can’t be secluded, so if just me and my friend, I’ll probably last about 3-4 hours(comfortably) lol.
Dinner | 7pm
– Somewhere known for an amazing pasta, or steak meal. I could also always go for a Seafood Boil or Wings 😍
Movie | 9pm
– Horror, Psychological Thriller, Thriller, Drama
Rooftop Bar | Midnight -2am
– I’d fall asleep at some point in the movie so now I’m recharged for the next event ! Yay ! Lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The Journey to KoreoKingz has been an interesting one, but these people made it worth it. My mom, of course, is one of them. She’s a go-getter who’s always taught me that literally anything is possible. There’s maybe one in ten things I contact my mom for that she’s incapable of handling, and with her as my role model, I’ve developed extremely high expectations for myself. I probably have a little bit of trauma from always wanting to be so perfect due to her rarely falling short, even when the world left her to do just that. She taught me about priority, although I was just as hard-headed and scattered-brained as any other child. She taught me morals, honesty, to love hard and to live passionately… which are the values that lead my business today.
Some recognition could also go out to my Dillard Elementary Family, who introduced me to band and step at an early age.
One of my Biggest Mentors, Dr. Sheldon McLean, who was an extreme influence in the teen stages my life. Dr. McLean often stood in the gap for me, and filled a void just by being him self. He taught me to express myself, and as a young educator himself, we grew together. He was an amazing leader who taught me to be a man, to lead fearlessly, to always do the work, and to stand out. Average was never enough; I had to go the extra mile. These lessons weren’t always delivered through lectures but through being around someone so amazing that I became a sponge, soaking up everything I could. I was with him from 7th grade to 12th grade, and even after he stopped being my teacher, the training and lessons continued. I could call him for advice, and Mrs. McLean would also step in to help… it was like he brought me a community. He taught me to be resourceful, to never ignore my emotions yet stay focused, and to take control of the room and environment.

More recently, I’ve had the privilege of working with Safiyyah Francois, who started as a colleague and has become so much more. We met at my first job after college, and what began as a business relationship grew into something deeper. We worked together in a hectic space, focusing solely on the work, and she saw something in me that I didn’t even see in myself. She believed I belonged somewhere bigger than where we were, and despite imposter syndrome trying to hold me back, she never let me forget my potential. She’d tell me I reminded her of herself and wanted to help me grow. Her words were the perfect motivation, especially when I started to get comfortable with something smaller than what I was capable of. God sent her to remind me that I was greater than just educating the way I was. Through her connections, she called me to host and choreograph for classes, clinics, shows, and even start a company! She’s become a huge mentor, sister in Christ, friend, motivator – everything. I’m forever grateful for her presence in my life, and I’ll never stop giving her credit for helping me bloom.
