We had the good fortune of connecting with Kerline Jules, PCM®, CDMP and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kerline, what do you attribute your success to?

Many people think being an entrepreneur is all fun and games, but it’s hard work. It takes grit to start your own business- you have to be passionate about what you do, or else there isn’t much motivation for taking on the challenge in the first place! I found myself in a difficult position after walking away from my 9-5 job. I didn’t have the luxury of time because I needed to hustle for income while also managing to be an entrepreneur and playing every role from CEO, sales team member (in order), project manager, etc. Still, it’s been worth all that hard work! I learned real quick about how important hiring experts can be when you only have one person on your hands – like accountants or anyone else whose skills match up well with what needs to be done; they make things easier by taking over specific tasks so that we solopreneurs don’t get overwhelmed during our struggle.
As someone who has walked away from their career (to focus on entrepreneurship), I can say this: even though we face many challenges when starting small businesses, such as securing clients; once things get rolling, they tend not just pay off nicely –they downright explode with success!!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m an easy breezy person that enjoys ambiance and experiences. I would take them to Wynwood to check out the creative culture to hang out. We could go to the Carousel Club inside Gulf Stream Park for a Friday night hangout and enjoy the outdoor vibe. I love waterfront eateries so I would take them to GiGi’s Waterfront for Brunch in Broward and SeaSpice for lunch or dinner on the Miami River.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would have to give a shout-out to my family, my sisters, also affectionately known as the Jules Dynasty. My college roommate, Attorney Jessica L. Yates of Yates Legal Group, always pushes me into greatness. The Urban League movement who helped me to find my innate gift in marketing; they gave me the confidence to make the career switch from IT to marketing. My church, COOL Church who allowed me to sharpen my skills while serving in ministry and also investing in my professional development.
