We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Gardner Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well, it all started with my own beard. As a man who takes pride in his appearance, I always struggled to find a product that was tailored to my specific needs. I was tired of using generic grooming products that didn’t work for me, so I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I began researching and experimenting with different ingredients, and that’s when I discovered the incredible benefits of using natural, organic ingredients in beard and body butter products. I found that these ingredients not only helped to nourish and moisturize my beard, but they also had a range of other benefits for my skin and overall health.

But starting a business wasn’t just about creating a better product for myself – I wanted to share my discovery with other men who were struggling with similar issues. I wanted to create a brand that was not only effective but also ethical and sustainable.

So, I founded KXNG Cosmetics with the aim of providing men with a natural, high-quality grooming experience that they could feel good about using. Our products are made from ethically sourced, natural ingredients and are free from harmful chemicals and artificial fragrances.

But starting a business is never easy, and there have been plenty of ups and downs along the way. From sourcing the right ingredients to finding reliable suppliers and building a strong customer base, every step of the process has been a challenge.

However, seeing the positive impact that our products have had on our customers makes it all worth it. I love hearing stories from customers who have finally found a product that works for them and seeing the confidence that comes with having a well-groomed beard or healthy skin.

In the end, I started KXNG Cosmetics because I wanted to make a difference in the grooming industry and provide men with a better, more ethical option. It’s been a challenging and rewarding journey, and I’m excited to see where it takes us in the future. We officially launch on May 15, 2023!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Well, let me tell you, the anticipation for our launch on May 15, 2023 is killing me – in the best possible way, of course. I am so excited to finally introduce the world to KXNG Cosmetics and all that we have to offer.

So, what sets us apart from other men’s grooming brands? For starters, we’re not just focused on making men look good – we want them to feel good too. Our products are designed to nourish and hydrate the skin and hair, leaving our customers feeling confident and comfortable in their own skin.

And speaking of our products, we’re proud to use only the highest quality, all-natural ingredients. We believe that what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in it, so we’re committed to using ingredients that are not only effective but also good for our customers’ health and well-being.

Now, starting KXNG Cosmetics definitely wasn’t easy. There were plenty of challenges along the way, from figuring out sourcing and manufacturing to building our brand identity and finding our audience. But I’ve learned that with every challenge comes an opportunity to grow and improve.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of perseverance. There were times when I felt like giving up, but I knew that I had something special with KXNG Cosmetics and that I couldn’t let my dream die. I surrounded myself with a supportive network, including my amazing parents, who encouraged me to keep pushing forward and never give up.

Ultimately, I want the world to know that KXNG Cosmetics is more than just a men’s grooming brand – we’re a community of like-minded individuals who believe in taking care of ourselves and feeling good in our own skin. Our mission is to empower men to be their best selves, and I am so excited to share that with the world on May 15th. So mark your calendars, folks – KXNG Cosmetics is coming, and we can’t wait to show you what we’re all about.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a Miami implant, I definitely have some favorite spots that I love to take friends and family to when they visit.

For starters, you can’t come to Miami and not hit up the beach. South Beach is always a classic option, but I also love heading to Virginia Key Beach for a more laid-back vibe. After soaking up some sun and sand, it’s time to hit up some of my favorite restaurants in the city.

For breakfast or brunch, I highly recommend hitting up Big Pink in South Beach. Their menu has everything from classic pancakes and eggs to over-the-top breakfast sandwiches and milkshakes. For lunch, I love heading to Wynwood and grabbing some tacos from Coyo Taco or hitting up Kush for some of the best burgers in town. And for dinner, there’s nothing quite like Bar One Miami – the salmon bites definitely bang.

As for drinks and nightlife, Miami has no shortage of options. If you’re in the mood for some rooftop vibes, head to Juvia in South Beach or Sugar at EAST Miami. For a more intimate setting, check out the Broken Shaker in the Freehand Hotel or head to Sweet Liberty in Miami Beach for some of the best cocktails in town.

Miami is a city that’s full of life, energy, and amazing experiences. Whether you’re soaking up the sun on the beach or dancing the night away at a club, there’s always something new and exciting to discover. Whenever you want a chiller vibe, you can go up north toward Ft. Lauderdale or even further up north toward Orlando for the world famous amusement parks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
When it comes to support and inspiration, I have to give credit where credit is due – my parents have been my biggest champions throughout my journey with KXNG Cosmetics. They’ve always been there to lend a listening ear, provide feedback and guidance, and celebrate my successes along the way.

Growing up, my parents instilled in me a strong work ethic and a belief in the power of perseverance. They both had successful careers of their own, and seeing their drive and dedication to their work inspired me to pursue my own passions and start KXNG Cosmetics.

But it’s not just their professional success that has inspired me – it’s also their unwavering support and love. Whenever I hit a roadblock or feel discouraged, they are always there to pick me up and remind me of my strengths.

Plus, let’s be real – my mom is my biggest hype woman. She’s always sharing my products with her friends and family and even convinced my dad to try out our beard butter (which he loves, by the way).

All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better support system than my parents. They’ve helped me to believe in myself, stay motivated, and push through the challenges of entrepreneurship. I’m grateful for their love, support, and inspiration. I would not have any of the talent and skills I possess without my parents.
