We had the good fortune of connecting with Keyshawna Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keyshawna, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
In everything I do concerning the ReHERligned Brand and my message, the most important factor is building a community that provides a safe space of trust, support and accountability. I would identify that as the most important factor and driving force behind my success. With the platform that God has given me, staying in alignment with his vision for my life is essential in my life and business decisions.
I’ve seen what loneliness, depression, stagnancy, heartbreak and a lack of support can do. Not having sufficient support during those low moments is why we see so many suicides, mental illnesses, shootings and drug abuse. With those factors at the forefront of my mind, my goal is to empower women to take their livelihood back and find true healing in their singleness. I equip my clients with the tools to carry out the vision that they have for their lives and get realigned with the best version of themselves.
What should our readers know about your business?
The name of my company is called ReHERligned. It is a community that provides a safe space for women who are healing from break ups and past trauma. We focus on doing the inner work, which eventually changes how we perceive ourselves, the world and the people in it. This community is designed for the women who have been searching for support in their season of isolation, looking to heal from toxic and abusive relationships, and fight the urges daily to return to the life that once oppressed them.
Initially, I had a hard time identifying the focus of my business because there are so many aspects of healing and self love. I asked myself the question, “What is one word that I want to describe the women who have crossed paths with me?” and almost immediately, the word “realigned” came to mind. That was the inspiration behind the name.
It was definitely not an easy process. Prior to starting ReHERligned, I was a graphic designer and branding expert, but it wasn’t something I was passionate about. The hardest part of my journey was figuring out what I’m actually called to do. Around the ending of 2019, I went through a very rough break up like any other woman does. It was a chaotic, but life defining moment for me. During the healing process, I made a firm decision to take my time and submit to God’s process, instead of taking the usual “rebound” route lol. I started doing some very deep self introspection and notated the pieces of my process. Little did I know, there was a book in the making attached to my process. Whew! Your girl had it bad! Now I use my story to help other women. I had to go through the process of being my “ideal client” before I could provide the services that they needed. ReHERligned is a creation of what I needed when I was going through my healing journey: the guidance, the community, the accountability etc.
One of my biggest sacrifices was making the decision to completely shut down my branding business with a consistent clientele and dive, head on into a new field. When I first started building my company, I was very introverted and had no social skills. I was the girl who stayed low-key in the corner and didn’t say much. It was very hard for me to say yes to the person I had to become in order to walk in my purpose. Despite my disposition, I dedicated my time to developing my skillset, so that I too could realign with the best version of myself.
I am most proud of seeing the growth of my clients, during and after taking my programs. To see a client transform from completely lost and depressed to healed, happy and confident is always a plus for me.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d definitely recommend visiting South Beach. It is absolutely disrespectful to visit Miami and not visit the beach lol. There is a plethora of entertainment and dining options on the South Beach Strip. The South Pointe Park Pier also has some of the best views in Miami. Parasailing in Biscayne Bay is also a fun spot.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The constant support of my mother has definitely played a huge role in who I am today. During a very low moment in my life, my friends weren’t in proximity. It was a very isolated process. My mother was my primary source of support and motivation. Her constant prayers have made me the woman I am today. She is the epitome of what I want to become. I’d also like to give a shout out to my sister, Shamoy. She is my source of accountability. There are many moments when procrastination kicks in, but she is always there to ensure that I get the job done. Last, but definitely not least, I’d like to acknowledge my Business Mentor, Ashaala Shanae. I am so blessed to have crossed paths with her. She saw past my limiting beliefs and pushed me to challenge them. She helped me to hone in on doing what I am actually passionate about and gave me the practical tools that I needed to bring the vision to life.
