Meet Khalid Bryan | Real estate broker, Instructor, and Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Khalid Bryan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Khalid, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always done things for myself and that got me to have the mindset that I rather get paid for what I do rather than by the hour. This made me open up creatively and start multiple business around things that I find myself good at.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I never like referring to myself as an entrepreneur, but it seems to be the category that fits. I own a real estate brokerage “The Investment property gurus” and also run and produce at “The Av Club Podcast studios”. Both businesses are ran by putting people first. In real estate my main goal is to ensure the education of my agents and be a reliable resource to them by always being available. The podcast studio I take the role as a curator of different visions and make sure that everyone can comfortable bring to life their vision in a safe place where they feel at home.
I believe that alone sets me apart from other brands. My businesses were both built with the attitude of being productive daily. By no standard was this an easy task but it became enjoyable because I was setting out to surprise myself daily. Within my time in this business I’ve learned that they’re so many different learning types , and it is important to be able to tap in and nurture them all. My brand is for the people, not the people of the norm but the REAL people, the people who have gone unheard. The environment I provide is that it is more about the effort being put in to be better, than where you feel like you deserve to be.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
You can’t say Florida without mentioning the beach! So for that reason I would definitely put Fort Lauderdale beach on my radar. This is such a good way to enjoy the beach scene without the overcrowding of busier beaches. I am a HUGE foodie so a great restaurant with the perfect late night vibe would be the perfect way to introduce the Miami vibe. While on the flow of beaches Hallandale would also be a great beach to visit to see the potential of growth. So many new establishments are popping up and Hallandale is not too far from one of (In my opinion ) best malls Aventura, who doesn’t love a good shopping cardio. For entertainment and a night out of town I would recommended Wynwood. There’s something for everyone, into hip hop and in the mood for something different check out Brick on there silent headphone night. Coyo taco has a speakeasy club where you can grab a taco and party it up. The art is beautiful and neighboring businesses leave you an opportunity to eat authentically.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mindset is the key to my success and I got this mindset by referring to advice from “The Secret”. Years ago on my birthday following the loss of my job my mother recommended watching as well as reading “The Secret” she believed that placing myself in a positive mind state would open up countless doors for me. Well the saying mothers know best rings true because I owe my success to her leading me to this new world of positivity and personal development.
