Meet Kimberly Morse | Mindset Mentor & Content Writer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly Morse and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kimberly, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
My business is two-fold: One part content creation for other brands and the other wellness writing for those looking to live a more-well life one day at a time. The idea for both these divisions of my business blossomed during my junior year of college. While at the University of Florida (Go Gators!), I decided to pick up a psychology degree while continuing to pursue my marketing degree because I was so fascinated with how the brain works and I knew I needed to know more than what my marketing classes were providing. This degree combination fueled my passion for helping both people and businesses- hence the two divisions of my business.
It was also during this year that I decided to try my hand at blogging with my first blog, “Keeping Up With Kimberly.” This blog was like my first real experience in journaling as it allowed me a space to recount what was going on in my life, reflect on my experiences, and derive all the lessons I could all while sharing these lessons with my community. Unfortunately, I allowed life to get in the way of this blog, but a few years later I found myself wanting to share my experiences, especially in the wake of the hardships many of us faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the wellness strategies, particularly those in the mindset realm, I’d been using to make the best out of an extremely difficult period in my life. I remembered my first experience with blogging and decided to use this medium and social media to share my knowledge with my community because I’ve enjoyed harnessing my words to create powerful messages since I started learning how to write essays in 4th grade. Thus, the “Kimberly Brooke Wellness” blog was created to spread all the wellness knowledge I wish I knew sooner. I’ve since expanded “Kimberly Brooke Wellness” to include my first course, “Joyful Journaling,” with the intention of putting the power of self-discovery in the hands of my clients with a self-paced journey full of prompts that provide the mindset work needed to access an insane amount of self-growth and, most importantly, self-love.
Speaking of writing and social media, I used my writing and social media skills often in college and enjoyed it thoroughly. The one experience that was the catalyst to the idea for my content writing business was my internship, and later position as Marketing Coordinator, with Women Empower X (WEX). During my time with WEX, I was given the opportunity to curate many forms of content (social media, email newsletters, course content, etc.), which allowed me to hone my skills and learn how to capture a brand voice through every piece of content I was writing. My experience with WEX was invaluable in not only building my skills, but also by being surrounded by such inspiring messaging and a community of fierce female entrepreneurs. My time at WEX, coupled with the unique mix of knowledge I gained during my time achieving my B.S. in Psychology & B.S.B.A. in Marketing, gave me the push I needed to start Content Writing With Kimberly, where I share my gift of writing by helping my clients skyrocket their sales & grow tight-knit bonds with their consumers through stellar content.

What should our readers know about your business?
As I mentioned before, the two pillars of my business are mindset mentoring and content writing. Just like college- I couldn’t pick just one passion. I loved Marketing & Psychology while studying at the collegiate level and now I love writing for other businesses and sharing my passion for mindset & wellness with my community!
What sets Content Writing With Kimberly apart from the rest is my ability to capture a brand’s voice and producing cohesive content to keep that brand voice alive. I’ve done this for 10+ clients during my time content writing and I’ve heard a similar sentiment from each of my clients, “I love how you’ve captured our brand voice and create content that our readers WANT to read.” Diving deep into a brand, learning its facets, and crafting its voice as if it’s a human with its own dynamic personality is my favorite part of the content writing process!
I also pride myself on not gatekeeping my knowledge from my clients when it comes to all things content writing. If a client is unsure of how something works, what something means, what the next steps for their brand should be, etc., I make myself available to answer any questions I possibly can and guide them towards the next great adventure in their brand, whether that leads to more or less opportunities to work with me. Ultimately, my goal is not only for my clients to walk away with a brand that feels unique & fitting to their vision, but also the knowledge & confidence to keep up with their brand consistently- however that may look to them.
What sets Kimberly Brooke Wellness apart from those in the mindset & wellness community is my ability and willingness to be vulnerable and share my experiences while crafting these experiences into something we can all learn from. I’ve found it’s a lot easier to share something I learned in a textbook or a light lesson in life that I’ve followed for a long time. However, those lessons are often something readers 1) already know or 2) aren’t invested in learning about. The true connection with my community comes from sharing openly & vulnerably, even when I’ve made a mistake or failed yet again because I truly believe that those mistakes & failures are where we learn the most.
As a child, I always listened to the stories of those around me and grew to understand the importance of learning from other’s life lessons. With the Internet’s capabilities, I’ve decided to become one of the storytellers and share my experiences with as many people as I can because too often nowadays we feel alone in what we’re going through- especially us twenty-somethings who are trying to figure out who we are in this ever-changing, crazy world. I craved a space where I felt seen, heard, & understood while being able to receive guidance on where to go from where I was. Thus, Kimberly Brooke Wellness was born! In the Kimberly Brooke Wellness Community, we connect based on our shared experiences and work to cultivate mindsets that can withstand the trials life is constantly throwing at us.
The journey to Content Writing With Kimberly & Kimberly Brooke Wellness was not easy by no means. There are still days where Imposter Syndrome (the belief that you’re not good enough or deserving of what you have) and analysis paralysis get the best of me and I want to throw in the towel. However, with an acute awareness of what I’m going through mentally & emotionally, consistent work on myself, and perseverance in achieving my dreams despite the failures/setbacks I’ve faced, I’ve created two pillars of a beautiful business I’m truly passionate about.
If you take nothing else from my story, take this: You can truly do anything you set your mind to. It won’t be easy. There will be times where you won’t be able to see the why and want to quit. Furthermore, there will be times where you grow out of parts of your business. Stick with what feels right, adapt your pursuits to your core purpose, and, above all, never give up on yourself.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My businesses would not be possible without the support I’ve received and lessons learned along the way! Though there’s no possible way to thank everyone, here are a few key people/groups that I’ll dedicate my shoutout to…
First & Foremost- My parents and sister. Without their guidance, support, and wisdom (yes Dad I mean all the lectures about everything under the sun…), I would be nothing close to the smart and hard-working individual I am today.
Second- My extended family. Much of what I know about love, treating people with kindness, and being successful comes from years and years of your love and sharing your life experiences with me.
Third- The WEX Community & Alexa Carlin. I learned SO much about writing and bloomed in my confidence during my time with WEX and I couldn’t be more grateful to Alexa for giving college senior Kimberly a chance to learn from her.
Fourth- Every student I’ve ever had. Surprise- I also teach elementary school! My students inspire me to be the best human I can be daily and have taught me so much about myself and the importance of cultivating a positive mindset towards everything we face in this life.
Finally- My friends Chris, Katie, Victoria, Nicole, and Kyle. These are my people! They listen to me rant on the hard days, celebrate with me on the good days, and have helped me make memories to last a lifetime.
