We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly Pucci and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kimberly, how do you think about risk?
Oh, risk and I are longtime friends. They’ve fueled my entrepreneurial journey, starting when I moved to Florence as a 19-year-old. A move that unexpectedly opened doors and forever changed the trajectory of my life. The risks, or choices, depending on what you choose to call them would continue to present themselves and thrill me.
I’ve pioneered new ventures, expanded into new markets, and built a standout luxury brand in just a short period. The universe has a way of rewarding courageous people, so expect nothing less as I continue to grow and build my brand.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most excited about celebrating our journey, yes, that of traveling, but also through life — as cheesy as that seems. I am here to focus on the real magic found in the days that add up to the years in which your life is written. The one thing that unites us is that we are all on a journey somewhere. So, while we do our thing, whatever that may be, let’s tell the story. What does that look like? How we can make it feel (and look) just a little more special. And furthermore, how do we make it ours!? How can we define literally OUR journey with what we surround ourselves with? That is what my brand has solved for. You have to have the courage to define who you are, or else you will be told who you are, and that is no way to live.
My art is deeply rooted in the Italian tradition of impeccable craftsmanship. Regardless of what material they are molding, it will be a work of art. Time has proven as much, and I am incredibly fortunate to have this influence and access to the best artists in the world. They take my practical, American designs and make them a reality so I can bring a new version of luxury to the American market.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I spend most of my time in Fort Lauderdale while I’m in Florida, and I do get up to Palm Beach pretty often, too. My favorite hotel to stay in Lauderdale is the Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel. I’ve stayed MANY times, and they always take care of me. It’s in a great location, plus you’re in the heart of the yachting scene, which is crucial for me.

Beyond that, I’d say it depends on what you like to do!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Of course, the first person who comes to mind is my late father, Frankie. It was after his death, which devastated me that I found the strength to start my own business. During that period, I made many changes and experienced so many firsts. I try to live like him, the best I can, every day, bringing a spark into every room. That has helped me get this far because everyone you meet has a story and deserves genuine connection. I really try to foster that. I think he would be proud to see what I’ve done so far.
Wow, love, encouragement, mentorship… There are so many people who need to be named, from the friends who pushed me to pursue leather goods to those who made simple introductions in the superyacht industry. Every day, I’m in contact with a million people about a million different things, and if it weren’t for all those who see the value in Kimberly Pucci, I wouldn’t be here. They’ll know who they are. It’s truly about community support.
