Meet Kin Lazarre | CEO & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kin Lazarre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kin, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind our success is our understanding that we had to build our own infrastructure. We built our team and business with that in mind. Vertical integration was the goal and we achieved it by building our own recording studio. We brought on a creative director to handle all things digital. Animation, graphic and website design is all done in house. We partnered with a company that manages all of the artist’s merch. This helped us avoid holding to dead inventory.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets us apart from others in the entertainment space is our independence. We are vertically integrated, which allows us to set and move at our own pace. I’m mostly proud of the creative environment that we’ve been able to curate for our artists. They all have access to the best talent and minds in the music industry. We got to where we are today by creatively pushing through the nos and turning them into yeses. We learned that building our own spaces for our artists to create would make their process that much more fluid. We learned that you get the best art by providing your team with all of the tools they need to succeed.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When our friends visit we take them to Soho Beach House. At the heart of the House is a pool surrounded by daybeds and a bar. There is also a beach, Cecconi’s restaurant, a spa, a gym with a balcony for outdoor training, and regular music programming. Plus, Ocho – the rooftop terrace on the eighth floor – has a bar and plunge pool. Soho Beach house is our go to one stop shop.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My brother and business partner Wolf is the engine behind our success. He’s a visionary with a genius level understanding of how to scale a business. His poise and unrelenting passion for perfection is what led us to signing our first major distribution deal with Empire records.
