Meet Kleopatra Tsompani

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kleopatra Tsompani and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kleopatra, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One thing that outsiders may not know about the nail industry is just how much potential there is for success. It’s not just about manicures anymore. The nail industry offers endless opportunities to build wealth and a career. You can create your own brand, compete in and win championships for nail art, or even educate others in the field. Many nail professionals also open multiple salons, work at high-profile events like red carpets, or consult for other businesses. Some even collaborate with doctors! It’s an industry full of possibilities that people often don’t realize are available.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My path in the nail industry has been anything but ordinary. Coming from a background in fashion and having lived in Paris for 13 years, I was always surrounded by creativity and artistry. When I moved to Los Angeles and afterwards to Miami, I followed my heart into the nail world, and it felt like coming home. This craft is more than just a career for me—it’s a passion, a form of self-expression, and a way to bring beauty and emotion into people’s lives. I have never been happier.
But this journey hasn’t been easy. Nothing truly worthwhile ever is. Depending on how big your dreams are, the challenges will match them. I’ve faced obstacles, doubts, and moments where things felt impossible—but when you persevere, stay consistent, and always carry yourself with professionalism and integrity, people begin to trust you. My love for this art is greater than any challenge I have ever faced, and that love keeps me moving forward no matter what.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to trust in God because there is always something greater waiting ahead. I’ve learned to stay true to my vision, no matter what. That’s what sets you apart—walking your own path, not getting lost in comparison, and trusting in your own journey. Do your own thing. Follow your own purpose. Be kind. Mind your business. And never compromise on your dreams.
I want the world to know that I am here to elevate the nail industry, to make a change, and to bring it to the level of recognition and respect that it truly deserves. I am the creator and curator of The Nail Art Exhibition, a groundbreaking showcase that celebrates nail artists from all over the world in high-end art galleries—and one day, in museums. Nail art is more than just beauty; it is fine art. It is a masterpiece that deserves to be seen, appreciated, and recognized just like paintings and sculptures. My mission is to uplift the artists behind this craft, to put our industry on the map, and to redefine the way people see nail art—because it belongs in the world of true artistic expression.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My fun itinerary for Miami depends on what kind of experience we’re looking for—this city has everything, from crazy fun to more chill and relaxing vibes!
I’d start the day with sunrise yoga on the beach—there’s nothing like moving with the sound of the waves and the fresh ocean breeze. You can easily find classes on Eventbrite. After that, we’d grab breakfast at my favorite café, Neverland in North Miami. Their coffee and brunch are unmatched, and the whole place feels like you’ve stepped into Peter Pan’s world—it’s magical!
Next, we’d take a walk through South Beach, South Pointe, and Ocean Drive to soak in the Art Deco charm and colorful buildings. Then, we’d head to Little Havana for a taste of Cuban culture and, of course, a cafecito! The best spot for coffee is La Colada Gourmet on Calle Ocho, where they grind fresh coffee on the spot and offer more than 17 different options—pure heaven for coffee lovers.
In the afternoon, we’d explore Wynwood to see the iconic murals and immerse ourselves in Miami’s vibrant art scene. For dinner, my go-to spot is Zuri, a Moroccan restaurant in Wynwood with incredible flavors and ambiance.
One of my favorite hidden gems is The Citadel in Little River—it’s a trendy, European-style food hall with a variety of cuisines, plus an amazing rooftop where you can sip drinks, network, and connect with fellow creatives.
For a fun night out, we’d end the night at Shrine in Downtown, where you’ll find the best Afrobeats and Caribbean vibes—the energy is unmatched, and it’s the perfect place to dance and let loose!
Miami truly has something for every mood, and that’s what makes it so special!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a special shoutout to Miish Quiroz, the founder of an incredible organization called ‘Manis for Smiles.’ Miish is not only a talented nail artist but also a philanthropist who works closely with a nonprofit to support children from homes affected by violence and women in need. She travels to countries where people lack access to wellness treatments and offers free manicures and kits. What’s even more inspiring is that she also educates these women, helping them develop skills so they can create their own jobs and achieve independence. Her work is truly making a difference, and I think she deserves a lot of recognition for it!
