We had the good fortune of connecting with Knowbody and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Knowbody, how do you think about risk?
I believe that taking risks are essential for personal and professional growth. Throughout my life and career, I’ve come to understand that taking risks can lead to both success and failure. However, I’ve also learned that even when things don’t go as planned, failures can be valuable learning opportunities.
By embracing the potential for failure, I’ve been able to overcome my fear of it and take bigger risks. These risks have resulted in some of my greatest successes. Whether it was starting a new business venture or pursuing a new career opportunity, I’ve found that taking risks has been the key to achieving my goals. I’m a born risk-taker, it has made all the difference.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have been blessed with many talents and it has taken until now for me to figure out how to put them all together. I’ve written, edited, and published books. I wrote songs for myself and others and performed all over the country as well as overseas. I’ve had my photos published by REVOLT and I’ve created video reels for artists such as Meg Thee Stallion, Westside Gunn, Kodak Black, J.Cole and more. Any of these singular paths could lead me to a respectable career in that field, but that’s the thing, Knowbody does it all and does it all really well.
The challenge for me has always been how to do multiple things effectively and the answer is to not do it alone. I created a production company and enlisted the talents of other people in my network to create entertaining content but also provide business solutions. When your team is as talented and as versatile as mine, you can find yourself shooting a music video for a major artist one week, and creating viral content for a local thriving business the week after.
Don’t limit yourself. As long as you are willing to see your goals completely through, you will figure out what to hold on to and what to let go of along the journey.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting me in the area, they would have to go where Knowbody goes, eat what Knowbody eats, and chill where Knowbody chills. Let’s say they come for a week. We would have to go to a Miami Heat game and catch the vibes at the arena. After the game we gotta slide by Hook for some catfish and fries. At least one of the days they’re here we gotta go to Electrik Dragon in Fort Lauderdale and turn up. I have to let them try World Famous Egg Rolls and Nori Tori. If they’ve never been to Publix, they gotta see how that fried chicken is insane. Definitely slide on over to Las Olas for a night or two and then end the trip with a night at Fontainebleau, my favorite hotel in the world.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This shoutout is dedicated to The Queen of Optimism, Shelley Roxanne. I would not have the level of dedication, motivation and confidence to face the challenges that I have overcome without her example and mentorship. I look forward to continuing to make my impact here in Florida and across the nation and the world with her watching beside me.
