Hi Kristian, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Whew…starting a business is a risk itself. Let me tell you. I worked for a decent company prior to becoming an entrepreneur. My pay was pretty good, and it was constant. I knew every day what I was going to do. It was safe. The pandemic changed that. I discovered that even working for someone else, as safe as it may seem, it is still a risk. Someone else has the power to change your livelihood. So, the question I had to ask myself was which risk was I willing to take. I chose entrepreneurship. I prayed for this. I remember asking for guidance. I knew this is what I wanted to do, I just needed approval. I clearly heard God tell me to go for it. So, that’s how I deal with the uncertainty and risk of everyday entrepreneur life because I know I’m where I suppose to be. When I think back over my life I can see where I have always been somewhat fearless. I remember always going for what I wanted. It has worked our pretty good for me thus far. I’m not scared because I know at the end of the day, it’ll be alright. That’s how I like to look at it.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My name is Kristian Battle and I own and operate Kins Kreative Prints and Kins Kreative Playground. If you need anything personalized and custom, I can do it. I offer a wide variety of personalized novelty gift for any occasion. Kins Kreative Playground is a mobile playground for toddlers. I provide fun equipment such as ball pits, bumper cars, bounce houses, and more. I love both of my companies but the playground has a special place in my heart. There are a lot of us in my area who has a print shop but there aren’t many with a mobile playground. Im excited about that. It allow me to set myself apart because my business is considered unique. A lot of people have never heard of it before. That allows me to really grow and design how I like it.

Having a kid and the pandemic lead me here. I can remember as a young child always wanting to own my own business. Somewhere down the line I lost that. I became comfortable with working for someone else. It was safe and easy to me. Once I had my daughter, that comfortability changed. I didn’t want to work 9 to 5 everyday anymore. I actually work 24/7 now..the irony. But I knew I wanted the freedom to do and go as I please. The pandemic pushed me into entrepreneurship. I was able to work from home when the world shut down. However, we were asked to return to the office. By that time, I had decided to focus on my own goals. So, resigned from that company. Was it easy…nope. Not at all. I went through a lot and still going through a lot. But that’s with doing anything you love.

I overcome it by staying positive. I always remind myself that I am in purpose. I was told to be here so I’m forever taken care of whether I see it or not. Try not to worry. And you know what, every time it gets hard…I get through it.

I’ve learned that you can’t do it all alone. I struggle with delegation. I get some type of satisfaction with doing it all myself. But the longer I am in business, the more I understand the importance of allowing others to help. By me having a print shop, I usually print all of the marketing material, uniforms, custom work, and everything else myself. Now, I’m trying to outsource some of that. It’s because it takes up time that I can be doing other things that will grow my businesses. So don’t be afraid to lighten your load.

If I could tell the world anything about my brand…it would be that I am here and you could be too. I made a decision and I didn’t step out on Faith..I jumped. Head first. You can too. Dont be afraid of failure or disappointment. It’s all apart of the plan. As long as you’re in purpose, you will win. I believe that firmly. That’s what makes me and my brand special. We are just getting started.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Now that is a questions for someone else lol. I really don’t get out much. My favorite spots are food trucks LOL. So everyday they are here we would visit a different food truck. That’s really exciting to me. Oh and Walmart. We will definitely take a trip to there. You have to always go to Walmart when you’re in a new town. We should do a follow up interview in a few months. Let me get out for the summer since everything is open again. I’ll have plenty to tell you then lol

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to shoutout a few people if that’s okay. First, my daughter for being the inspiration behind it all. And she is the face of brand. Her cute self. My family. They have been super supportive. I run ideas to them all the time. They are going to tell me the truth and support me in the good and bad. I’ve ran across a lot of entrepreneurs who talk about not having a supportive family. I’m blessed to be on the other side of that. From purchasing from me, FULL PRICE might I add LOL, giving advice, and even keeping Kinsley while I work. Each one has such a vital part in my success. My bestfriend. Even when I doubt myself, she some how pulls that out and turn it around. She makes me feel like I can do it all. My clients. Each and everyone of them. Because they believe in my products and services, I am able to be and do what I do today. I saved the best for last, God. I strongly believe He lead me here and I am forever thankful and give Him the praise for it all. He’s the one who told me to quit my job in the first place so its only right that I shout it out LOL.
