Meet Kristina Alexandra | Founder, CEO, Amplifier, Strategist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristina Alexandra and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kristina, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
Pick a lane (profession) and stick with it. I think that’s one of the worst pieces of advice given. Very few people have ONE singular calling. We are ever changing and evolving individuals. Some of the greatest minds of our times have had multiple vocations, careers, interests. Benjamin Franklin being one example. He was a writer, scientist, inventor, statesman, diplomat, printer, publisher, and political philosopher. He invented bifocals, swim fins, a stove, armonica and a catheter.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the Founder and CEO of Trident Advisory, a boutique strategic advisory firm focusing on creating, curating and executing on nontraditional growth channels through inventive and creative partnerships. This is my third company. After working in finance for 12 years, helping build a corporate strategy group inside a Fortune 500 financial services company and having been a partner in my own fund making investments in early stage venture and private equity companies where I was hands-on working with our founders and helping them grow. I was also a founding partner of a PR firm focusing on the luxury, celebrity, fashion and lifestyle segment. This is when the idea of Trident was born – to bring multi-disciplinary approaches together,: investment banking, private equity, management consulting, PR and creative.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My current fav is Sexy Fish in Brickell. It’s been one of my favorite restaurants in London and glad it finally opened in Miami. You can never go wrong with Dave Grumman and Groot Hospitality hotspots like Gekko, Komodo, PapI Steak and Swam. My home away from home is at The Setai. Jaya for dinner and Ocean Grill is the power lunch spot.
SurfClub at the Four Seasons Surfside.
Makoto in Bal Harbor.
Mr C for a sunset cocktail in Coconut Grove

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shutout is to Sandy Weill. The man who is known as one of the greatest bankers, financiers and philanthropists of our time. He founded a number of financial services companies, sold one of his companies to American Express; was the CEO of Bank of America, built Citigroup as we know it and mentored Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JP Morgan. He was my first mentor and the reason why I got my start on Wall Street at 16 yrs old
