We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle Plesa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyle, what do you attribute your success to?
That’s a great question. And one that I could probably answer with endless cliches. There are so many different marketing and advertising agencies that it can be difficult sometimes to rise above the rest in the eyes of potential clients. That being said, I try to influence things I can control. I always try to allow my team the creative freedom they need not only to satisfy the client, but to feel heard themselves, to evolve, and to enjoy what they do. I don’t want my employees to feel boxed in or limited. You’re only as strong as your weakest link so I want to make sure everyone feels empowered and trusted.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think the biggest challenge, in the beginning, was finding a capable team that could support what our clients needed. The early days could be overwhelming and anxiety-ridden; wondering if I was making the right choice; wondering if we could succeed on all fronts. It reminds me that despite whatever challenges come your way, you just have to put your head down, analyze the problem as an opportunity, and be confident.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The first place that pops in my head is COTE in Miami. The food is unmatched, in my opinion, by anything in South Florida. I would also probably spend a day at the beach at SoHo House, check out the Frost Museum, and what’s a trip to South Florida without a journey into the everglades?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would say my father. He has a great network of friends and colleagues who are successful business owners and entrepreneurs in their own right. I was able to leverage that based on his trust and support and I believe it helped expedite our success.
