We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Smythers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting Project Arrow, while being a wife, a mom of two, and an Assistant Principal, was all about a matter of the heart. The passion that we have to help expectant Moms choose life, by providing love, support and connections was a thought that came from a personal place. We felt the need to build something that would provide a family with the support needed to not feel alone in the process. It grew in our hearts, then strongly grew in our mind and we just said, “Let’s do this!”.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Project Arrow’s mission is to empower. We want to empower an expectant Mom to choose life by providing love, support and connection. We truly understand that every Mother has a story and that every Child has a purpose, so we want to be a bridge in connecting moms with the resources they need to succeed in this beautiful role of motherhood. We are excited to share our resources with those that need it the most. We love to share the stories of motherhood because we know that one persons story can change someone’s life. We want the world to know that you’re never alone and that there are people who are willing and able to jump along for the ride with you and encourage you every step of the way!

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Wow! Well, Miami is the place to visit! We have it all! We would definitely enjoy the beautiful beaches, enjoy the variety of restaurants that Wynwood has to offer along with all the art showcased. I enjoy a bunch of the museums in Miami, from the Frost Museum to the Perez Art Museum- we can take a whole day to just museum hop!! I love the Gables area, where we can go to Vizcaya, botanical gardens, and make our way to all the restaurants there are for every taste possible! You can’t just name one in Miami! There’s too much to choose from, but we would definitely enjoy some Latin fusion yumminess!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There is no Laura Smythers without Joseph Smythers! My husband is my #1 Fan and I truly cannot do everything that I am able to do, without him. He is my rock, my best friend, believes in me more than I believe in myself and supports me like crazy! His heart and passion drives our home and I am one lucky girl to be able to do this alongside of him. I love you, babe.
