We had the good fortune of connecting with lauren Beall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi lauren, what is the most important factor behind your success?
This is a hard one as there were a lot of people and inspirations that led to my success. The most important factor behind my success was my passion and love for traveling and making other peoples trips as special as the ones I plan for my family and friends. When you truly love and are passionate about what you do then you succeed as it does not feel like a job. This comes across to other as well and they would rather work for you.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a luxury travel agent and curate all different type trips for my clients who range from honeymooners, singles, couples, families and multi generational. What sets me apart from others as I have traveled to most places that I recommend and have experienced the cities and hotels first hand. I am most proud of being nominated Rising Star in the industry with ProTravel who has over 1022 travel agents. I am also being nominated for top producer with Virtuoso. I got to where I am because of my love for travel and this allowed me to have lot of clients. I also am always doing training courses on different areas and traveling to do hotel site tours for my clients. I recently completed a year long course on becoming an Africa Specialist so I am very excited about it!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend and I were doing a girls trip I would go to Paris for a week. Paris is one of my favorite places as I love the architecture, fashion, restaurants, museums, hotels and culture. I would stay at Le Bristol Paris as it just got renovated and I love the location, bar and garden area to have breakfast or afternoon tea time with champagne. They recently added Le Bristol After Dark with great DJ’s which is where I would end the night. I love to start the day in any city with excersice. I have a great company who will bring you bikes and take you around the city for the morning & admire the beautiful architecture and parks. I would eat at L’Avenue for lunch as I love the people watching and you can shop around that area as they have Dior, Chanel, Chloe and some of the best stores. I would use my driver and visit the Louvre with the tour guide I use for everyone as she is the best. She skips the lines and knows so much about the history of Paris & gets behind the scenes access. I would visit the Picasso Museum and the Center Pompidou for modern art. While at the Pompidou museum I would have a drink at Georges on the rooftop over looking the city.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a lot of people and groups who have helped me a long the way. I would have to give a shoutout to my parents and grandmother who took me traveling all growing up to exotic places and planted the seed for the love of travel. I was fortunate to travel the world with my family. My husband also has a love of travel & we have been on some amazing trips. His family created a hotel Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain in the Smokey Mountains so it is nice to understand the travel industry from the hotel perspective as well. I have an amazing office of very experienced ladies who are the best in the industry who are my mentors and help me every step of the way. I am very thankful for Barbara Kopelman, Carol Press & Susan Press who are my mentors.
