We had the good fortune of connecting with Leniese Liddell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leniese, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Becoming an entrepreneur wasn’t in my though process until 2019. I started off with selling shoes and lashes just so I can pay off my College tuition. Once everyone started noticing me I ended up falling in love with it and wanted to expand more. I did a lot of research and everyday was trial and error from finding the perfect items to put into my business.

What should our readers know about your business?
Ice Collection has always been a one stop shop what changed over these few years was the website design, products, and business card. When I rebranded my business my goal was to focus more on providing clothing for plus size women. Every time I go to look for clothes there was never truly a style that I like in my size that would at least match how everyone else’s were. My goal is to give our plus size women confidence to wear exactly what they want!

This was not easy as said earlier there was a lot of trial and error especially with the quality. I learned that being an entrepreneur you will run into many challenges. The way that I overcome them is to remember why I did this in the first place. I continuously remind myself to never give up and to chase your dreams. I am big on Dreams and doing this is how my business got to where it is now. This is also along with everyone who has been supporting from when IceQueen Collection has started. You have to believe in your self.

I want the world to know the meaning behind my name IceQueen.

ICEQUEEN: the meaning of being an IceQueen is that you are Inspirational, Confident, and Empathetic. Not only that but you are a dreamer, and you never give up no matter how hard things get.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My best friends and I would go everywhere. We love to try new foods and walk around. The most exciting places would be museums, beaches, the mall, the park, and the seaquarium.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My uncle is who I do this for he unfortunately passed in May of 2017. He meant so much to me and would continuously tell me to follow my dreams. My mom is also my biggest motivation. She is a big crafter! I learned from the best she is truly amazing at what she does.
