We had the good fortune of connecting with Lil Batista and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lil, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind our success has been our proactivity and customer service. We meticulously plan every performance in order to deliver the best entertainment experience. We are a forward – thinking company and we have learned to deal with challenging projects as well as to approach opportunities when they arise. On the other hand, we love our clients and we enjoyed meeting and listening to their visions. With this in mind, we can create the most magical performance on their event date. Listening, advising and keeping a constant communication with our customers had been the key to our rapid success in the wedding industry!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are Lil and Jorge – the owners of Assai Event Musicians and we are eager to be part of your special day! We are a young couple that understands the need of featuring new talents in South Florida. Because of this, we want to bring our creativity and fresh expertise to your party! We had been in the music industry since 2002 performing as soloists and in ensembles around the Caribbean and Europe. Originally from Cuba, we became professionally trained violinists, but with a love for contemporary and modern music. We have toured all over the world and performed with the most remarkable artists, such as Placido Domingo, Ana Gabriel, Nestor Torres, Jesse & Joy, Ricky Martin, Chayanne, Prince Royce, Game of Thrones Tour, Regent Cruises and Liuba Maria Hevia. With this in mind, we felt the need to provide an opportunity for many young talents in the area. So, after our fairy tale union in 2012, we opened Assai Event Musicians, with the vision to change the music wedding industry in South Florida! Today, our company has grown tremendously from string ensembles, live bands to one-of-a- kind shows! Moreover, we have expanded our business throughout Florida, Cancun and Riviera Maya. We had been more than blessed to work with wonderful musicians and vendors in the past 20 years! With more than 300 weddings and events performed, we are very proud to offer a world-class experience and we will be delighted to be part of your story!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, I will take them to Las Olas Beach in Fort Lauderdale. Then I will invite them to taste from our Cuban culture and music at Balls and Chain Restaurant. If they like the theater, I will take them to the Arsch Center and we will watch a broadway show, ballet or classical concert. Last, but not least, I will take them to Neme Gastro Bar to enjoy some jazz music!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our company had been impacted by many vendors and individuals, but we have been able to succeed thanks to our constant work and media exposure. We would like to thank Reynier Nunez, for being our videographer for many years. Also, Claudia Oliver Photography, for capturing the most amazing shots of our ensembles. Our website designer, Jensi Long, for collecting and displaying our work in one special place. Last but not least, our partner Tip Tap Co. for helping us distribute our social media in a effective and creative way.
