We had the good fortune of connecting with Lil Roberts and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lil, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
Work-life balance, at least in the first stages of entrepreneurship. If you’re building something from the ground up, especially intending to make the business a household brand, balance isn’t the right word. You’re ALL IN!

To some degree, you can control your schedule, but opportunities won’t follow it. They show up on their own timeline, and when they do, you have to be ready. If you don’t seize them, someone else will.

In those early stages, you are building momentum, trust, and a future for your team. People have joined you because they believe in the vision, and it is the responsibility of the entrepreneur to create the path forward.

Rest is important, but in the early stages, balance won’t look the way people expect. Building something from scratch takes energy, consistency, and heart. You’re showing up every day because the momentum depends on it. Later on, you’ll have more space to slow down and create flexibility. But right now, it’s about laying the groundwork for everything that comes next.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m an innovative thinker, a problem-solver at heart, and an eternal optimist. I’ve always been drawn to building—whether it’s businesses, teams, or solutions that make life better for others. I’m a serial entrepreneur who’s had the privilege of working across multiple industries, and what I’m most proud of are the incredible teams I’ve built along the way. People who are heart-led, courageous, and committed—people who would run into the fire with you. That kind of trust and camaraderie is rare, and I don’t take it for granted.

I’m especially proud of the way Xendoo delivers for our customers. We’ve built a product that brings real clarity to small business owners, giving them the tools and insight they need to grow with confidence. I’m deeply passionate about serving SMBs—they’re the backbone of our economy, and in turn, they support families, create jobs, and shape communities.
Getting here wasn’t easy, but I’ve always believed that life is a mindset. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn, evolve, and keep going. I try to move like water—adaptable, resilient, and always finding a path forward. Grit, positivity, and an unwavering sense of purpose have carried me through every chapter.

Some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned: never write the end of the story, there are always multiple ways to solve a problem, and even the best opportunity won’t succeed with the wrong partner.

What I want the world to know about Xendoo is this: Xendoo isn’t just about bookkeeping or accounting. It’s about empowering entrepreneurs. It’s about bringing clarity where there was once confusion, and possibility where there was once overwhelm. We’re here to help small business owners thrive, because when they succeed, everyone benefits.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d start at The Oasis in Wynwood, an open-air spot with food, drinks, music, and art—perfect for kicking off the trip. Red Rooster Overtown is a must for brunch, and we’d spend an afternoon jet skiing and out on the water on Miami Beach.
One day, we’d explore Little Havana on a food tour—pastelitos, Cuban coffee, and live music around every corner. Another day would be for the arts: strolling through the Wynwood Walls, checking out pop-ups, and visiting the Pérez Art Museum.
For dinner, Shiso is a favorite, beautiful ambiance and unforgettable food. Miami’s energy is contagious, and even when you leave room for spontaneity, it always delivers.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to EO South Florida—an incredible community of entrepreneurs who have truly shaped my journey. I’m a lifelong learner, and this organization has been a place where everyone contributes with openness, generosity, and intention. The peer-to-peer learning, the wisdom shared by inspiring guest speakers, and the honest conversations have given me insights and life lessons I’ll carry forever.
It’s been an amazing experience, and I’m honored to be part of such a dynamic group.
