We had the good fortune of connecting with Lili andrea rincon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lili andrea, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Since I was little I had a fascination with everything that had to do with plastic arts. from how to paint on glass or how to paint on fabric or canvas. I have always liked the idea of being able to create something that is eye-catching. So during the pandemic I began to see many people doing this new art of rug tufting which impressed me and I decided to give it a chance. in which I began to teach myself by watching youtube videos, from there I decided to acquire all the necessary materials to start my business that I manage alone. from all the video, photos, and creation of themes and logos without having previous experience. I know I have a lot to learn but as long as you are learning you are not failing.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel that my art is based on how people feel about it, everything is based on the experience and the gratitude that someone took the time to appreciate your time and the way you execute your art. I feel very proud of myself for taking the discipline to learn something new on my own and that people like it, that they know that each piece I make is with immense love and a lot of dedication so that the final result is so pleasant for me. as for the person who decides to obtain it. Obviously it has not been an easy road because you do not have all the tools and knowledge to launch a brand but it is not impossible either, everything is about discipline and there is still a long way to go. I just want the world to realize the beautiful things that art has, all the time and love that all artists put into creating something for the world.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would tell you that my favorite places to spend in Miami would be starting with a good place to have breakfast, my favorite place is Tinta y cafe located in coral gables. Then places to hang out would be to visit a museum like super blue miami or artechouse,or just walking by brickell to end up having some delicious mojitos in dirty rabbit wynwood.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This recognition would be for all my family and close friends who have done nothing but support me in this project, especially my mom who has always been my #1 fan in all my life projects.
