We had the good fortune of connecting with Lilian Santini and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lilian , what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my own business to be able to focus on what matters the most to me and serve clients who align with my vision. Leading my own company allows me to combine my passion for brand strategy with graphic design to help my clients communicate their message and let their passion shine through.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the founder of The Copper Portico, a boutique marketing company based in Coral Gables that is equally passionate about delivering results as impacting lives and building legacies. Our intentional branding and design process is for purpose-driven brands with a focus on advancing arts, culture and educational opportunities in communities throughout the world. I created Copper Portico on the belief that guiding clients to their higher vision creates extraordinary results and opens doors to new possibilities. We are committed to the success of our clients and delivering the highest quality services. Copper Portico represents our dedication to supporting the creative process and bringing our client’s vision to life. We are driven by the desire to help our clients feel connected to their mission and empowered to elevate their impact. I was born in Brazil in a family of teachers and since I was very young had a deep passion for languages. It was the gift of language that enabled me to move to New York City as an Au Pair in 2004, where I launched my career working with educational and cultural institutions. Those organizations have been integral to my personal and professional development and my connection to mission-driven organizations is an important part of the work I do today. Moving to Miami in 2015 ignited my entrepreneurial drive and I embarked on a vision to create a marketing company that exceeds client’s expectations by offering personalized strategies and visual solutions to connect brands with their audiences through authenticity, courage and one-of-a kind aesthetics. I’m invested in the growth of our clients and the progress of our community and believe in creating sustainable solutions that inspire action and create change.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many places in Miami that I love! I’d definitely take my guests to Vizcaya Museum and Gardens or Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden, followed by lunch at Doce Provisions for some Cuban tapas. Also, live music at Ball & Chain is a must!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who supported me along the way and inspired me to be who I am now. The first that comes to mind is my dear husband, Jonathan Santini, who’s always believed in my ideas and encouraged me to keep going. He’s my best friend and having him by my side is the best gift I can wish for.
