We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda Farha and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Linda, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
As an entrepreneur, surrounding yourself with a strong team with complementary strengths is a must. Empowering them and not micromanaging will no doubt result in success and less turnover, and a strong team.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
pop-up go provides a solution to both landlords and brands looking. We offer an online resource for both parties so that they can connect and support this with a curated personalized service along with complete turnkey solutions to execute and drive business to the pop-up and/or location in order to attract brands. In essence, we offer all that is pop-up and that’s what makes us unique. pop-up go was the brainchild of Zenergy Communications, a firm that I started in 2003 after the company I was working for was sold and I found myself out of job. I always wanted to have my own company and the situation created an opportunity for me to do so. I am most proud about the fact that I never give up. It’s not easy to run two businesses and keep afloat while staying motivated. pop-up go always delivers and we work as an extension of our clients, both brands and landlords, to maximize results every time.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love spending as much time outdoors as possible and being born in Canada, I love eating at my favorite Canadian restaurants. I also really enjoy hard core workouts, beautiful hotel settings and shopping. So, my itinerary would be as follows:
Daily workout at Barry’s Bootcamp followed by a long walk on the boardwalk. This would be followed by different activities, from walking in the historic art deco area, eating and shopping on Lincoln Road to heading up to Bal Harbor and Aventura. The Four Seasons in Surfside is beautiful and having a drink at the bar there would also be a must. I love Byblos (from Toronto), Mylos (from Montreal) and lots of local restaurants like Stiltsville Fish Bar and Stubbord Seed. Any free time would be filled with swimming in the ocean, taking in the rays and getting lost in the Miami Vibe.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a loud shoutout to our Director, Sarah Hoodspith. She has been part of my team even before it existed. She is the reason why our business has grown, evolved, and remained relevant all these years. Thanks Sarah for your unwavering commitment, and incredible team spirit.
