We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda Heithaus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Linda, how does your business help the community?
I’m very fortunate to be able to work with anyone, anywhere in the world. Sessions are equally validating and beautiful in person or with a client in Hawaii, France or Canada. Hearing deeply personal messages from a loved one who has passed can have a positive impact on grief. Also, hearing “I am ok” from a loved one who has passed tragically provides a great deal of comfort and relief.

Since we are all connected, lifting someone up who is hurting has a ripple effect into a family and community. Part of my work involves the Parkland families who lost their children and spouses in the 2018 MSD High School shooting. I am grateful to continue my 5th year of volunteering in the community, channeling several victims for their families and friends. These kids come frequently and validate specific things happening in present day to say “I see you, I am with you. and I love you!” My gift works as a healing one, and spirit knows what a loved one needs to hear to uplift them. I endeavor to continue to help whoever needs healing through this unique work.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a certified empathic medium, specializing in connecting with loved ones who have passed (in spirit). Readings with clients are a profound and powerful experience, full of deeply personal details, validating a loved one is with us. They also provide healing in a unique way. I use many different channels to download a message from spirit. I can see in 3D and color, hear their voice, feel emotions, smell, taste, and use literal and figurative symbols and metaphors.

Even though I was born with this gift, my career path was not linear. I encountered personal and professional challenges while growing my business. I completed spiritual development classes and did a lot of personal inner work in order to be successful. I was a new student when I started volunteering in the Parkland community right after the 2018 High School shooting. At the time, my readings were not at the level they are today. I remember arriving at a house to find a group waiting and had to talk myself into staying during a bathroom break! I continued to push through my fears despite my nerves. Spirit moves very fast and many times I got things wrong. Connecting with a spirit for hours requires incredible focus and to forego any ego or judgement.

Being comfortable working with various levels of grief is essential . Strong grief from a recent passing can make a reading more challenging. Skeptics were another hurdle I encountered. Personally, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer during my training, and felt knocked down physically and mentally. After healing, I jumped right back in to work. The pandemic required rethinking my business platform, switching from in person readings to Zoom. Today, I am pleased to say remote sessions work as beautiful to those in person, and I am grateful to be able to work with anyone on the planet. I continually strive to balance my career as a Mom to 3 kids and golden retriever.

I love being the space between loved ones here and in spirt. It is extremely rewarding helping those who are grieving. I lost my own Dad to cancer at a young age, and know what that feels like. I am incredibly grateful for the positive feedback I receive from my clients. My life is full of love and inspiring moments.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Ft Lauderale beach, there are so many restaurants on the water with stunning views…Coconuts, Burlock Coast, and Steak 954 are some of my favorites. If a girlfriend is coming I’m definitely booking a spa day at the serene Fountainbleu spa. A trip to the Keys for some diving or snorkeling would be top on my list as well. I love taking out of town friends to the Broward County Sea Turtle Conservation Program, which monitors sea turtle nesting over 24 miles of beaches. It’s an amazing night of education, with tiny hatchling sea turtles being released back into the ocean. No trip is complete without a visit to Jaxon’s Ice Cream, it’s out of this world delicious!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are many wonderful people who are paramount in my journey. First and foremost is my mentor, Dr. Shirley Ryan. To say that her Spiritual Development Course was life changing is an understatement. Working with Dr. Ryan was crucial to uncovering and organizing my gift. Dr. Ryan also personally supported me during my early days of conducting readings, and taught me to think about my gift as limitless, and the world in a different, more beautiful and enlightening way. I am forever grateful for all that she has given me, which I now pass on to all those I am blessed to work with. I have more love and inspiration in my life than I ever thought possible. The fabric of my being would not be who it is without my family, specifically my husband Mike and my mom Kirsten, who continue to give me unconditional love and support. I am also very fortunate to have phenomenal encouragement from my friends, who in the beginning, were the only ones I trusted with my gift. This amazing network of women supporting and inspiring me with every step forward lifted me to new heights.
