We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda Liz Díaz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Linda Liz, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Growing up in Costa Rica instilled in me a deep-rooted eco-consciousness, which has become a cornerstone of my design philosophy. At 33:3, we’re dedicated to leading the charge in inclusive, adaptive innovation. Our commitment to a sustainable future is evident in every aspect of our designs. From utilizing recycled yarns to opting for versatile cuts and eco-friendly printing techniques, we prioritize minimizing environmental impact without compromising on style.
But beyond my environmental ethos, my journey has been profoundly shaped by my sister Coco’s resilience. Her battle with cancer inspired me to create 33:3 as a tribute to her strength and courage.
In each collection, I aim to merge the comfort of athleisure with intricate, multi-functional designs, empowering women to feel confident and fearless in their own skin. For me, fashion goes beyond aesthetics; it’s a medium to inspire confidence and celebrate individuality.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our brand 33:3 is more than just fashion—it’s a lifestyle centered around pursuing harmony in the trilogy: mind, body, and soul. What sets us apart is our dedication to purpose-driven design and innovation, aiming to redefine fashion with sustainability and inclusivity at its core. Embracing challenges along the journey has fueled my determination to make a positive impact. Through collaboration and community support, we’re not just growing; we’re enjoying every step of the journey together.
My goal as an artist is to uplift our #333sisterhood to feel empowered within their divine femininity. Our brand is a celebration of sisterhood, embracing the strength and beauty of every woman. Ultimately, I want the world to know that 33:3 is more than just a brand – it’s a movement driven by genuine love and purpose, redefining fashion and inspiring change.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So many amazing places to visit in Miami! I would start the day with an early morning yoga session at Ahana Yoga, followed by breakfast at Pura Vida just around the corner. After that, we’d get ready for a soulful afternoon exploring Patch of Heaven Sanctuary—my most precious hidden “Miami” secret! It’s so wholesome and perfect for a reflective and intimate time. <3 They have a wonderful organic restaurant that serves lunch during the weekends. Lastly, we’d get all dressed up to dine at Queens and dance the night away at Mila’s.
There’s something different to do every day, whether you want to find your Zen at Faena’s Tierra Santa Healing House or show off your moves at La Victoria, Miami will steal your heart with it’s warm engaging culture!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! My sister Coco has been my rock through thick and thin. Her journey through tough times has inspired me beyond words and really shaped the heart and soul of 33:3. And then there are my amazing soul sisters—they’ve been cheering me on since day one! Their unwavering belief in this project has been like a constant ray of sunshine, reminding me of the power of sisterhood and support. I couldn’t have done it without them!
