We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Linda, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?

Yes I do “Keep Moving Forward” I actually have it tattooed. What it means to me is that no matter what obstacle or challenges are thrown my way if I pivot and focus on moving forward not staying stuck in the problem I will progress and reach my goals

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

I’m a Health & Wellness Lifestyle Coach. Some would call what I do personal training but what I do goes far beyond that term. I help women harness their inner strength and elevate their mindset through fitness, I do a lot of mindset work. Through the power of moving and transforming their body they break free from those negative patterns that keep them in a constant state of struggle with their bodies and self image.

What sets me apart from others in the industry is I’m just like my clients. I’m not a young fitness influencer who’s never struggled with poor body image or has great genetics. I’m your everyday average woman who struggled and still struggles with all the same things they are going through. I’ve been where they are currently at and meet them there all while giving them the tough love they need to fully discover their true potential.

It definitely hasn’t been easy getting to where I’m at today. It took a lot of trial and error, lots of highs and lows but most of all consistency. I overcame my challenges by viewing them as character building moments that I needed in order to learn and grow. I never stayed stuck on the problem and kept moving forward.

I’ve learned many lessons along the way but the biggest two by far are “People over profits”. You have to truly care about people, about your clients. Second, never stop growing/learning. You never know it all and you can always learn something from someone. You limit yourself by refusing to learn more.

What I would like the world to know about me and the Woman In Progress brand is that my purpose, my belief lies in the power of health and fitness to transform the body, mind and spirit; and that I have a desire to share these profound benefits with other women.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start off by doing something active and outdoors, like going for a run/walk on the Rickenbacker causeway along the Key Biscayne bridge or going to one of my favorite workouts in Miami Beach a Beat The Gym class led by Tony Thomas. It’s a great HIIT workout followed by lunch at any spot on Lincoln Road. Definitely plan some time to go to the beach and of course a day at the Lapis spa at the Fontainebleau Hotel. For dinner and drinks Level 6 located in Coconut Grove. We would definitely explore all the new fun and cool spots in Wynwood.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Nikki Novo, she was my first mentor before I got into this industry and entrepreneurship. She made me see that I was the only one that had the power to change my life and circumstances. She helped me see past my limitations and negative beliefs. She played a huge part in me completely changing my life and career path.
