Meet Lindsay Tobias: Certified Holistic Health Coach and Owner of Keep Your Plants On, LLC.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsay Tobias and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lindsay, how do you think about risk?
Risk was the ultimate four letter word in my head. Because risk never meant reward, risk always meant FAILURE. Two years ago, my new years resolution was to fail. To become comfortable with failing, because failure was a necessary step for success. I started by doing “one big ask” a week. I would go for something that terrified me. Asking a world renowned author on my podcast, ask a corporation for a wellness initiative, ask to host a ballin’ event. If you are comfortable with being told no, you strengthen the muscle of asking, of confidence. Every big jump in my career came from this practice.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I say I work in the wellness industry, most people hear “weight loss.” I am working to rewire that. I specialize in sustainability, in teaching women how to be proud of their life, not just their body. I am rooted in Behavior Psychology AND Holistic Nutrition, preaching that it is not about doing something, it is about being someone. Anyone can do a 21 day fix, (and most of us have!), but true health is sustainable, balanced, there is an ebb and flow to it, it looks different for every single client, and finding that “optimal” is so fulfilling.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would absolutely take them to Brickell, we would walk around the parks (get ready for miles and miles of walking and biking!) We would bike to a cool brunch spot, probably GreenLife, and hang out there, tell our deepest darkest secrets. We would take those sweet scooters to an art museum and spend a few hours looking at some of the most creative minds of our time. Somewhere in that day we would get sushi (PubBelly Sushi, duh) and call it a night watching a movie in. Lots of amazing conversation would be had, food eaten, and steps taken.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My story gets two big shoutouts. 1st, there was a man sitting on a plane next to me about 3 years ago wearing a Cartier bracelet, owning 8 companies. He saw me working on my program and asked me about it. I lit up and told him all about it, and then told him how I actually don’t think I will do anything with it, though. Because I had a job, because I didn’t know where to start. because I was too young to start my own business. “Coward,” he said. “You are a coward, that’s the only difference between you and me.” So thanks for the push, because I left that plane ride with a completely different head on my shoulders. Second, my husband has bent over backwards to make this dream of mine a reality. Now I am doing my best to return the favor with his new company, Choona Clothing.
