We had the good fortune of connecting with Lionel Leger and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lionel, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was that I wanted to have the independence to treat my patients as I wished since I am in control of all the variables involved in running a medical office.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I would like to think that what sets me a bit apart from others is the fact that I have access to different treatment tools because of my professional background in the field of sports injuries and physiotheraphy.
Running your own practice has many challenges and you do learn how to make your practice more efficient with experience. There are many lessons learned on the treament side and on the business side and you cannot be scared to question yourself and reinvent yourself to adapt to the many changes that are always happening in healthcare and in life in general.
My story is not unique but I like to describe myself as a dedicated caregiver who is always looking for his patients’ best interest.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Miami, Miami Dade County and the surrounding counties have many things to offer. To keep the list short: The Florida Keys is at the top of my list; Driving along the coast line from South Beach to Hollywood Beach is a nice scenic drive; Eating out at the local restaurants, more typical to South Florida like Flanigan’s and Morada Bay in Islamorada, watchng the Sunset.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife, Natacha, deserves this recognition as she supported and still supports me every day through the entire process of starting from scratch and running my practice every day.
