Meet Liz Giraldo

We had the good fortune of connecting with Liz Giraldo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Liz, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
The single most important decision I made was making time for this business and leaning on my husband and family, who have been my backbone throughout this journey. But above all, it was deciding to get up every day and pursue this dream for my son, Julian, to ensure I can give him the best life possible.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is simply being myself- people connect with me for who I am and genuinely enjoy my work. I also pride myself on my consistent 24-48 hour turnaround for raw footage and delivering special videos ready to post on social media. This fast delivery allows my clients to relive their events almost instantly while still basking in the moment.

My journey began with my own wedding. While planning it here in Miami and having a destination wedding in Medellín, Colombia, I found inspiration in capturing those behind-the-scenes moments that often go unnoticed. A funny twist to my story is that in 2023, while I was pregnant, I attended four back-to-back weddings in October. Since I was sober at all of them, I started recording everything, piecing together cute videos for my friends. That’s when I googled whether this could be a real job; and to my surprise, it was, though not many were doing it!

After my son was born, I couldn’t dive in right away. Navigating life as a new mom was a big adjustment. But once he was 5-6 months old, I knew it was time to bring my idea to life, and I’ve been running with it ever since.

It hasn’t always been easy. There have been challenges, but I’ve learned to embrace them. A key lesson along the way has been to stay true to myself and my work, without bending to fit into others’ expectations. This authenticity has been the foundation of my success.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that my work is rooted in love and intention. I’m passionate about helping people relive their most cherished moments and ensuring those behind-the-scenes memories are never forgotten. Whether it’s a wedding, a milestone event, or a special gathering, my goal is to create timeless content that reflects the joy, beauty, and authenticity of those moments.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For a visit to Miami, I’d start with a relaxing day at Miami Beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying a meal at Joe’s Stone Crab. Exploring the vibrant murals in Wynwood and shopping in Brickell City Centre would be next, with dinner at Cantina La Veinte for amazing waterfront views. A trip to Little Havana would be a must to experience true MIAMI culture, enjoy coffee at Versailles, and live music at Ball & Chain. To top it all off, I’d plan an unforgettable night out at Bâoli Miami for dinner and dancing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I absolutely couldn’t have done this without the unwavering support of my husband, Jonathan. He believes in everything I set my mind to and steps in every time, even when I don’t ask. A BIG shoutout to my sisters, Diana and Samantha, and my sister-in-law, Michelle, who not only listen to me but vividly picture all the beautiful stories I describe to them after every event. And lastly, my best friend Denise—she has supported me in ways I can’t even put into words, constantly encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone. From the very beginning, she inspired me to always stay true to myself and trust that everything else will fall into place.
