Meet Lizbeth Paiz

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lizbeth Paiz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lizbeth, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I grew up in Miami, Florida, and moved around a lot throughout my childhood. I was raised in a single-mother household, surrounded by the strong love and support of my mom, grandmother, and extended family. That environment shaped me deeply—there was always so much warmth, resilience, and determination around me.
From a young age, I was taught to be present, to show up fully, and to understand that nothing in life is simply given—it’s earned. Watching my mom do it all on her own was one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever witnessed. Her drive and her hustle pushed me to dream big, work hard, and never settle. I always wanted to one day repay her for everything she sacrificed for us.
That mindset influences everything I do today. I approach every project with purpose and flexibility—making the most of what’s in front of me, finding creative solutions, and always creating with heart. Even when I dropped out of web design school, it became a defining moment: I realized that path wasn’t for me, but seeing the vibrant world of fashion during that time opened my eyes. It was then I knew I wanted to bring color into everything I touched—not just visually, but emotionally too. That shift led me to embrace my love for expressive, dynamic art—and I haven’t looked back since.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a makeup artist, I consider myself a multimedia creator—I don’t like to limit myself to just one style. Whether it’s soft glam, bold looks, editorial vibes, or clean beauty, I’m always open to trying new techniques and pushing creative boundaries. What really sets me apart is the energy I bring to every job: I show up with a genuine heart, a positive outlook, and the mindset that every project is a reflection of my hard work and dedication.
One of the things I’m most proud of is simply believing in myself. It took time to truly see my own passion and not let anyone or anything stop me from going after what I love. Makeup may be temporary, but the way it can impact someone’s confidence and create a lasting emotional memory—that’s what excites me most. Seeing a client light up after a session is the most heartwarming reward.
My journey hasn’t been smooth. I took on a lot of unpaid work, long hours, tough conditions, and constant learning just to gain experience. But I stayed motivated by remembering my mom didn’t raise a quitter. I always think about how proud she’d be of where I am today. Her strength, along with word-of-mouth support and my work ethic, kept me going.
What I want the world to know is this: I might be tiny in height, but I have a big heart and a bigger vision. Through my art, I create a world of endless possibilities, where people feel seen, celebrated, and remembered.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Miami, I’d give them the full experience—because this city is a mix of everything: artsy, chill, glam, and bold. We’d bounce from Wynwood’s murals and galleries to South Beach and even up to Fort Lauderdale for a little beach-hopping.
Food-wise, we’re hitting Flanigan’s, grabbing carne asada and gallo pinto to rep my Nicaragüense roots, and ending with Raspado Lolys for something sweet. For a wild card night? Club Space—because you never know what’ll happen, but it’s always a time.
To reset, I love the beach or heading to The Yoga Direction in Pembroke Pines. Miami is full of magic if you’re open to exploring it all.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly, I have to shout out myself first—because it’s taken a lot of inner work, faith, and consistency to get here. But I also wouldn’t be where I am without the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and my mentor who saw my ambition early on and always pushed me to keep learning and evolving.
Some of the most special moments for me have been when they trusted me to create art for the most important events in their lives—that trust reminded me I was walking in my purpose.
And whenever I need grounding or inspiration, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is my go-to. Somehow, it always aligns with whatever season of growth or self-discovery I’m in.
