We had the good fortune of connecting with Lovely Lyman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lovely, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was invited to an event that I had to miss due to lack of childcare. It was after hours and I was that clingy mom that wanted my baby close. I was like it would be so cool if I could bring my kids with me and drop them off at something like an on-site daycare. I googled it and saw that it does exist but really available in this area. So I decided to go for it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
There are not a lot of childcare services in palm beach county that focus on providing event childcare. We are still growing but one thing we have learned is, there’s always room for improvement.

I really want to people to know who we are and what we do. I want people to know that when they hire us, their children are safe. Their kids are in good hands. I’m a mom and that guides me when I deal with other children. I always think “how would I want my child treated in this moment” and I’m led by that. I know I want my babies to feel welcomed and important in my absence so I do the same when dealing with others

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m not a big food person. I will legit visit the same restaurants over and over, but I do love skating, riding bikes through city place. A good sight seeing cruise, hit the beach, jet skiing, gun range. We would definitely have to go thrifting. I also love paint balling. A spa day, Nobody says no to a massage.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My friends and sisters are crazy supportive. My best friends Bri, Tete. My sisters Fashen, Tesha and Shalontay. They legit tell everyone about my business and I really appreciate it. A lot of my business comes from word of mouth. So, I’m extremely grateful. My friends go so hard for me that I feel like I can’t repay them, ever. My sister Fashen is so genuine and kind. I recently graduated and she really made it a big deal for me. My sister Tesha is always so happy for me when I accomplish any goal and it makes my heart smile. She publicly loves on me. My baby sis Shalontay and my cousin Keevie made it their business to be at my graduation. Even as an adult it felt good to look up and see people cheering you on. My dad is another person that is really helpful overall. I love him so much. I don’t even try to pretend like I’m alone in all of this. My support system really comes through.
