Meet LureAromatic | Social Media Entrepreneur + Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with LureAromatic and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LureAromatic, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It all began when I was in my younger teens, I was always outcasted and bullied when I was younger because I didn’t look like the typical girls here down south. I was deemed the “weird kid” or the “awkward weird black girl” and I was a loner. I actually didn’t know what a business was to begin with, I just knew that I wanted to be on top of everything in my life. I never wanted to be told what to do because I had many people around me trying to tell me how I should be as a person and how I should think and I hated it. It took me a while to break from my shell and actually speak up for myself on what I approved or didn’t approve of towards where I wanted my life to go.
Growing up, I struggled to stay focused on school and I fell behind. I failed the 8th grade in Miami and then me and my family relocated to Broward. We were living in Pembroke Pines and I was starting middle school again in the 8th grade having to experience it all over again but around different people. I still ended up falling behind in school and having to go to Hallandale Adult Community Center to get my high school credits. I had a language arts teacher at the center who was the person who introduced the word “entrepreneur” and I knew my life was going to change from that day. (S/O to Mr.Amador!)
I never knew what the word entrepreneur meant until after I read an article about the most successful people in the world who decided they wanted to take themselves more serious in life. I had made friends at the center and this one guy, named Clifford told me how I should start a YouTube channel and this was around the time were YouTube just started the PP program and people were getting paid from YouTube and I was 16 during this time. I never felt drawn at the time to start, but it was always in my mind to start a channel so,
That thought alone, changed my life for the better.
I truly understood what I wanted to do after that day in that class. There’s a saying about the ones you put down could possibly become your boss when the tables turn? I was always telling myself that since I was in elementary school. Even when I would come home crying to my mom about how I felt and she would tell me how I was due to others seeing something great in me and they hated that.
My thought process behind starting my business stemmed from me always being beat down and trampled over. Sometimes when people see you trying to make something better of yourself, they can get envious and jealous.
I couldn’t believe other people got joy out of making me miserable and I felt it was wrong.
I never had that in my heart for those people who put me down.
I also asked myself:
“How can I never go back to working for other people and being told what to do and doing that for myself only?”
That is why I decided to start my business. My business is the embodiment of who I AM.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
You have to experience me in order to know what I am capable of. I don’t want to say, “I’m different”, or “unique” because I find those words very challenging at times and very self-explanatory if you were around me.
Magnetic.
Captivating.
Ethereal.
…many different words.
I DO know that my energy will put you to sleep. (literally, my voice is very relaxing)
My YouTube channel is about a lot of my experiences in life. A lot of my experiences with men, my experiences within the spiritual community and where I currently am now. I recently started my first podcast about why I felt I have a voice in the world and it really made me feel so good to know that it is out there on YouTube and the video is growing in views, It makes me feel that I know where my life is supposed to be.
What avenue I should take.
What I should be doing RIGHT NOW.
What I am most excited about is where I’m going to be in the next couple of months with my channel growing and expanding.
I am still pushing myself more professionally in the YouTube playing field, and it has it’s time of difficulty but one person who inspires me to keep going is Destin Troyce aka Troyce TV. he is a Florida native and I regularly watch his content and I enjoy his videos and stay up-to-date and he inspires me to keep going and growing.
I enjoy challenges so this is going to be great for me to grow myself more and explore different avenues.
So far, I’ve learned during this time of being a content creator:
You have to find something you like and you will be successful at it.
You have to already know you have it and continue to thrive in that energy.
You won’t know if you don’t try it first.
What I want the world to see within my brand is that I live for myself like how I always been.
I’ve imagined myself as a very powerful figure for a long time and because I want to help others, I love helping people.
I want to be an example I wish I had as a kid, and I want to keep being this way until the end. I am not perfect and you won’t always agree with everything I have to say or what my experiences are like but I came onto this platform to get others to see that their experiences are not of their own, we all have experienced and I just want to take that first step into helping others take that step from fear and into their TRUE confidence.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Okay, I know a lot of people who will read this will tell themselves that Miami is where its at and I’m a Miami girl til I die,
But,
I drive and travel here in Florida a lot and some of my favorite places to be at are more north up Broward and Palm Beach area.
Places like, Margate, Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Boca Raton, Deerfield, Daytona, Boynton Beach, Wilton Manors or Orlando as well are places I recommend.
Of course, in Miami, Wynwood is amazing to see artwork and meet amazing people and dance your heart away,
In Broward, Butterfly World in Margate for my aesthetic girls if you want to see different wildlife,
Tijuana Taxi Co for some quick Mexican cuisine that you can get almost in any city in Broward
Yard House at Mizner Park in Boca for some silky delicacy
I’m a simple girl so you’ll catch me at La Granja, Pollo Tropical, Flanigan’s or Donna’s restaurant.
For nightlife, Fort Lauderdale’s Club Area on 2nd Street in Las Olas.
If you want an experience of your life that you’ll never forget,
TreeHouse, LIV, Club Space, E11EVEN, and BRiCK are amazing places to have an E-X-P-E-R-I-E-N-C-E.
Boca Raton has the best places to eat at but you have to make sure you don’t go out there with no money because young people will make you feel like you’re broke because they drive dodge chargers, Camaros, BMW’s and Lexus.
You cannot go there if you don’t have money.
Broward culturally has the most amazing cuisine from Mexican, Caribbean and Asian food.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my husband, Brian:
For sticking it through hardships and hard times and everything we have ever been through.
For dealing with my stubbornness and pushing me to see things from a different perspective
and for always telling me like it is because it helps me evolve and change every single day.
To Mr.Amador:
For dedicating his time and energy to continue to help the youth when the society decided to give up on us.
You never gave up on me and the others and I appreciate what you did for us, & I will forever be indebted to you.
To Juliet Diaz, the writer of “The Altar Within” and “Witchery”:
Thank you for the most amazing stories and examples a person could ever read about. From your vulnerability, to your transparency, You have inspired me so much through your books and I felt extremely connected to everything you talked about in your books, as though we lived the same life but different experiences. Please continue to share your wisdom and books with people all over the world, we need to continue to live in and feel your energy across the globe! 🫶🏾💜
